Well, the character was based on him to the point where he went around calling people "phony". Besides, he I said 10 years ago. He would've been 15-16 years old 10 years ago... Either way, he's too old

Okay, so... I'm not saying I'd want this to happen, but if they WERE to make a live-action Futurama movie, this is who I'd cast.

Hermes Conrad - Larry Wilmore


Professor Farnsworth - Christopher Lloyd


Amy Wong - Jamie Chung


Zapp Brannigan - Nathan Fillion


I didn't cast the non-humans, because they're likely to be voice-acted by the voice actors from the show... and I couldn't think of a Leela

Well, Brannigan is a guy who's way past his prime, but is completely unable to realize this. He's a guy who was once muscular and in shape, but now has a clear beer gut. So... Warburton, though he's 45, could totally pull it off.


Though if you wanna go HIMYM, I could possibly see Jason Segel pulling it off.

I would also think that lagistically, if you're just throwing out a Voice Actor that doesn't sound like Zapp, you should throw out someone who at least looks like him. Neil... Neil doesn't look like him. He's pale and skinny. Get him someone with hair to match, and a top heavy body.

And if anyone should play Leela, it should be the Actress that already plays her.

The point isn't that he was "supposedly only a voice actor" but that he is one, and quite popular one at that. Like I said, Logistically, he's often too busy for things like that. More importantly, Warburton and Fillion don't look Zapp, or sound like Zapp, so why cast them as Zapp? If you can't get look, get sound.
