Definitely a comic-based GL game. The system of the movie game (where you earn different constructs and abilities) would work fine if more polished than that was.
I never tried the one from before, I heard too many negative things about it. I would LOVE a new GL game.

Oh, definitely Batman: Arkham City; one of those few games I not only replayed multiple times, but went for every unlockable.

That's the one I like. I have Arkham Asylum but haven't checked it out yet. I'm too busy reading comics and watching superhero shows lol!

        • Asylum was great, but if you've already played City, it may seem a let down. AC is much bigger than AS but there were also upgrades to the play that made it more fun.

I'm at the bubbling hot lava scene now, opening the water main. So I don't think I'm too far away from the end, but reading your posts makes me want to open more stuff up and delve further, so thanks!

            • 27) Which comicbook would you most like to see adapted into a TV series?

Aside from GL:TAS, a few. As I mentioned in my last post, I'd love to see The Wicked & The Divine and invincible adapted as shows. I would also really love to see the trilogy Stan Lee did with BOOM! Studios (The Traveller, Soldier Zero and Starborn) adapted for TV. I think that the trilogy would be great on Netflix. It's a great format, and the crossover between the three would look cool on screen. The ability to go beyond the story of their respective books if they were adapted is an exciting one.

Ditto. It still annoys me about them.

I can't speak for the mechanics of the game, as I never played it, but I would really love to see a great comic based GL game.

This is definitely my favourite, too. it's been a while since I played it though. I should go back to it soon.

I don't play so many video games that I bother with ones I know I'm not going to like. Again, the GL movie tie-in was disappointing, but I wasn't expecting a lot and I'm sure there are many worse comic-related games.

Your words are making me more interested in trying that game.

                  • I'm sure you could get it cheap.

We used to have an extensive thread on it, but it looks like it might have been lost in the purge. If you search Green Lantern Rise of the Manhunters, you'll see some videos and news.

                    • 31) Overall, how was this month?

I'll assume this means in regards to comics.
Not bad. There wasn't anything that totally wowed me this month, but we did have a return to a GLC title, GL was pretty good, and there are several really good comic titles I'm reading.

It will be hard for me to resist just because it's GL. The main gripes I've heard center around Hal not being able to fly and the game being overall too easy, pretty forgivable offenses.

As for how I feel about this month, I REALLY like some of the new stuff/issues of Edge of Oblivion, Flash, Justice League, Invincible Iron Man, Martin Manhunter (the last perhaps best of all imo). The latest issues of Green Lantern, All New All Different Avengers, Batman, and Aquaman were at least better than good. Action Comics was okay...as I may have already mentioned, I've had enough of the depowered Superman story arc, and I've definitely had enough of the art is both main Superman magazines. It's just plain subpar imo, there are so many better artists out there imo. Daredevil and Mighty Thor were also okay, the former is another "not wild about the art" issue for me, the latter I'm hoping gets a better story on top of the pretty darn good art. I haven't received my copy of the latest Superman yet, so I'm hoping he gets his groove back.

Pretty good. I am back and active on a message board I really like. GL was decent, GLC was good, Justice League, Darkseid War stuff, and Batman #48 - the end in particular was cool.

My Broncos made it to the SuperBowl, my wife hasn't changed the locks and my sons have not dropped out of college...

Yeah, a nice start to 2016.

Green Lantern & Green Arrow: Hard Traveling Heroes

A good story that actually doesn't need a ton of special effects, I think this may be my favorite idea of the month....

None. I quite like every comic book based game I've played recently.

Not bad. Not as good as it could have been, but not the worst.
