The "Tech" used by the Technomagi in Babylon 5

        Shield
With practice a Technomage can cast a shield around their bodies to absorb damage or contain atmosphere in hostile environments. Isabelle was well known for her talent for shields.

        Associate/Disassociate
Technomages used this power to make or break connections to their ships, staffs, places of power or other compatible technology.

        Energy manipulation
Technomages can hurl fireballs, ice balls, lightning and can control any elements they feel the need to summon.

        Matter Manipulation
Technomages can create matter seemingly out of nothing and shape the matter using Quantum energy to any shape or form they need.

        Platform
This ability generates an invisible platform that can suspend items above the ground. With further abilities, mages can move and even ride on these platforms. They can also be made in a variety of shapes, colours, and textures, although the standard is an invisible rectangle.

        Hologram
Technomages can generate holograms like Alwyn's famous red-eyed, golden dragon or more complex holo-demons, which can actually interact physically with their environment. Holo-demons are capable of possessing computer systems to wreak havoc on the computers' owners.

        Electron Incantation
Through this technique, Technomages can establish real-time communication with another Technomage regardless of distance. While under the effect of this ability, the speakers' consciousness is manifest within a sort of dreamscape in which time moves quickly enough for the participants to have whole conversations in the span of seconds. It is possible to establish contact with non-Technomages, but it is difficult.

        Cloak
Technomages can cloak themselves in exactly the manner the Shadows are able to cloak themselves. This spell underlies the mage's ability to create illusion.

        Destruction
Technomages can collapse parts of the universe into smaller universes, destroying them completely.

        Plasma Beam
Technomages can fire plasma beams from their body.

        Shadow Skin
Underlying the mage's shield spells is a primal spell that can cover the mage in a skin similar to that covering Shadow vessels.
One technomage managed to kill off an entire planet in under a week... using just his tech... they are the biggest cyborg threat in any universe i've come accross.

.. okay, okay. The Green Lantern Power Ring, followed closely by a Lightsaber of course....

                    Team Cyclops !!! ...Screw Wolverine.

Lightsaber, with a GL Power Ring in a close second.

Considering a Power Ring can make a Lightsaber, Power Ring wins in my opinion.

Here's my picks for this... in order...
                          1. The Infinity Gauntlet (Marvel Comics)

One glove + 6 little gems = You Are God! Omnipotent, omniscient, with complete and total control over EVERYTHING in the universe! (Just don't let those pesky Earth heroes distract you long enough for one of them to snatch the Infinity Gauntlet from your hand. )
                          2. Yellow Power Ring (pre-Sinestro Corps)!

All of the power, but no pesky blue midgets telling you what to do with it!
                          3. The Lens (Lensman novels by E. E. "Doc" Smith)

This amazing device, the product of the ancient alien race known as the Arisians, is usually worn on the wrist like a wristwatch. It provides the wearer with perfect, instantaneous telepathic communication (even over vast, interstellar distances) and unlocks the full potential of its wearer's mind, giving them incredible mental powers including, but not limited to, telekinesis and the ability to kill with a mere thought! Having a different effect on each individual that wears it (as the powers granted are as unique as the mind of the being wearing the Lens,) the Lens has almost limitless potential!
                          4. Jedi Lightsaber (Star Wars) or Covenant Energy Sword (Halo)

Because it's all about the one-hit kills, baby!
                          5. Federation Phaser Pistol (Star Trek)

The ULTIMATE ray gun! Mess with me, and you're getting stunned! Mess with me some more, and you wake up in a world of hurt! REALLY piss me off, and I'll VAPORIZE YOU, so there won't even be a body for the authorities to find!!! Who cares if it's not entirely scientifically plausible for it to do all the things it does, I still want one!
I'd be perfectly happy with any of those!
                          Jack T. Chance
Really knows where his towel is!

Lightsaber --- not as clumsy or random as a blaster. An elegent weapon for a more civilized time.
