The point of this Forum Section

Some members are a little iffy on what should go in the Games & Humor forum section so.

Trivial games like "the person above you game" should be placed in this forum.

Humor of all kinds also belongs here, like the "Superman has a problem with kinky sex" thread.

What does not belong here would be things like video games, board games. Or humor coming directly out of comic books or discussion of books.

Boardgames and the like would go in the Action Figure and Toys section as could video games, though those could also be posted in the General Forum Section.

also any posts in this Forum Section do not count towards your post count.

Hope that helps!

No!!!!!!! Why'd it have to be Ed? I actually really want to see his project unfold. Ugh. I really want to talk shit about someone's cast, but respected Heide's too much, and Ed's too.

If you didn't read about the reasoning behind my choices, and would like to, you can do so here - http://www.thegreenlanterncorps.com/...08&postcount=6

If there is one negative, I understand the Akiva Goldsman choice, but still don't 100% trust it.

I voted against both of these, a hard choice because I don't want any of these two to win! Mosaic would have gotten a vote, but Patrick Stewart as Ch'p, that's just plain wrong.

I explained my reasoning, though people are, of course, free not to accept it. I felt the character of Ch'p was necessary to the story, but I was afraid an alien chipmunk might not fit the more serious tone (especially if he SOUNDED like a chipmunk) unless I did something to counteract that, namely getting a talented, sophisticated Brit to lend him some class. I still expect him to provide a bit of levity at times, I just didn't want him to be a TOTAL joke.

Yeah, I'd change it if I could, knowing what I know now, but I still think he COULD work.

Too bad I can't snag Kuhan's now that he's out.

(Sorry Kuhan. I DID vote for you.)

So, just a really quick pitch, since most people followed the last round's thread already.

Mosaic Poster by Mister Ed72, on Flickr

Mosaic would be a show that basically follows the development of John, a man with a tragic past, as he learns to put his past behind him and learn from his mistakes, and become something more than he was, set against a backdrop of all kinds of SF weirdness, Guardian manipulation, and interpersonal conflict.

We'd have a blossoming relationship between John and Rose, a stubborn, strong-willed single mother who, finding herself in a situation she never expected, does what she always has- digs in and make the best of it.

We'd have a complex and changing relationship between John and Hal, the "perfect hero" who makes John feel his own shortcomings at the beginning. Hal would be John's friend, but it would be clear that he doesn't really see John as a equal. John will earn his respect, and eventually show that, while he might not be a better hero, in many ways he IS the better man.

And we'd also have John dealing with the fact that some of those whose deaths he feels responsible for won't leave him alone...

Obviously I think it'd be great, and chock full of all kinds of possibilities, but I'm biased.

Seriously, what do you have against John Stewart? Did he kick your dog or something?

Cards on the table, I wanted Preacher to win. It didn't, so now I vote for the other guy. Also, I am honor-bound to vote for he who previously defeats me.

I didn't want to say it last round because it would have looked like trash talk, but I really, really, reeeeeally disagree with that Harley choice. I don't see her as Dr. Harleen Quinzel, I don't see her as the cackling hyena enthusiast with the ginormous hammer, I don't see her as a woman capable of loving the Joker, and the age difference between her and Mikkelsen is ridiculous. Seriously. It breaks the movie for me.

So neither Preacher or Fables got through? That's really disappointing.

Because she isn't the cackling hyena enthusiast in that story. Which I explained in my choices. She's a very low-key, emotional crutch character in the story. Which she would be in the movie. And I do understand that there's a lot of Lively hate due to her attachment to the Green Lantern movie abomination. But there's more to Lively than just Gossip Girls and GL. She's been fantastic in her indie characters.

Like I said, she isn't going to say much in this story. Just strip and provide a shoulder for the Joker when he goes on his drug fueled tirades. Lively provides all that while looking good as a stripper, which again, she is in this particular story.

And age difference? This is Hollywood, ages are easily varied and shifted. Did Guy Pierce playing an 80-90 year old geezer ruin Prometheus?
