I agree. So what are our ideas for the next draft? There's my doctor who, my 007, Wests comic series, Heides Avengers, and my DC film/series.

Yet again, may I suggest a Doctor Who or a James Bond draft? Think outside the box.

Indeed it does, plus it's a more original idea. My question though is what would we be adapting a video game into? A film? A TV Series? A comicbook? A board game? (
). Or more than one, or something else???

What exactly would a Star Trek draft entail? Picking a crew? I'm a big Trek fan, but it seems like, if there were even a modest number of participants, we would swiftly run out of choice characters for the various positions. There are a ton of interesting characters in the Trek universe, but beyond the main characters of the various shows, they swiftly get pretty obscure, especially if you are looking for someone that voters would know as "good" in a given role.

How about you draft a Captain, Second in Command, medical officer, and two misc members. You'd draft both the characters and actors playing them. You could also even draft the era and ship if you wanted. And maybe a story ark for the first series. See, the problem I see is that, even with as few as 8 participants, it would go something like this:
Somebody picks Kirk, somebody picks Picard, somebody says, "Crap! OK, I'll pick Sisko.", somebody says, "Aha! I'll pick Kirk from the new movies!", the next person is like, "Janeway? Archer? No thanks. Uhhh.... Spock was a Captain at one point, right?", then the last three people are like "
" and just decide to grab the prime First Officers instead. Almost no actual theme you could come up with would survive the drafting process, it seems.

Pick any character as a captain, first officer, science officer, head of security, whatever Chekov and Sulus positions were called and CMO and then ship.
thats 8 things and you vote for whatever makes the most sense i.e. dont vote for a team with Kirk as captain and Picard as FO, vote for the group with Picard as captain and Beverly as CMO
