The point of this Forum Section

Some members are a little iffy on what should go in the Games & Humor forum section so.

Trivial games like "the person above you game" should be placed in this forum.

Humor of all kinds also belongs here, like the "Superman has a problem with kinky sex" thread.

What does not belong here would be things like video games, board games. Or humor coming directly out of comic books or discussion of books.

Boardgames and the like would go in the Action Figure and Toys section as could video games, though those could also be posted in the General Forum Section.

also any posts in this Forum Section do not count towards your post count.

Hope that helps!

Okay, I thought of a limitation to A-Train's draft that may seem weird. Only X-Men characters. Pretty much any TV show can fit within the limits of X-Men characters. And so far, the ones I've thought of pretty choice.
Breaking Bad with Hank McCoy and Nightcrawler. Gossip Girl with Jubalie and Emma Frost. Hawaii 5-0 with Cable and Bishop.
Not saying this is the way we're going, but I think it'd be a good way to make a limitation on it. I've wanted to be able to do a draft in which drafting a team is a real free-for-all, like an actual sports draft where you have a list of guys to pick from.

Its really just a rule to make sure I don't create a perfect tv show featuring mutants.

EDIT: I'd also add that you can't pick shows that are already superhero/comic based and just plug in the characters for the roles because that's lazy. So for example no Wonder Woman, Arrow, Smallville, Mutant X etc.
I like that stipulation actually. I think it would be even more interesting to add another restriction, like 'Sit-Com with Comic Book Characters'. But I know we typically like to keep it as open-ended as possible.

Considering I have an idea already in mind, I shift my vote from literary to this.

That's kind of what I did for the Avengers Draft. Only without the half-serious part. And it was Marvel characters chosen to represent DC characters (specifically, the JLI), rather than actual DC characters.

So really not very similar at all, in retrospect.

So...essentially the Star Trek draft with the option for any other show that isn't already a comic book show.

I'm not sure I could pull that off.

I would proably draft a half-joking half-serious Avengers starring DC characters

The lit draft was just basically to pick a team of literary characters into a them correct?

I like the lit draft idea, of course, and I'm warming up to A-Train's idea, because it sounds just silly enough to work.

Specific shows? Like cast Seinfeld with characters from comics playing Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer?

That would certainly be unconventional. You'd get some really odd teams. (And some really normal teams where people cast comic book characters into shows that have already have a team of people with different skills working together to fight crime. CSI: Justice League.)

I say the next one we do is back to basics. Nothing special or fancy. Just pick a medium of a vague guideline and go for it.
