The point of this Forum Section

Some members are a little iffy on what should go in the Games & Humor forum section so.

Trivial games like "the person above you game" should be placed in this forum.

Humor of all kinds also belongs here, like the "Superman has a problem with kinky sex" thread.

What does not belong here would be things like video games, board games. Or humor coming directly out of comic books or discussion of books.

Boardgames and the like would go in the Action Figure and Toys section as could video games, though those could also be posted in the General Forum Section.

also any posts in this Forum Section do not count towards your post count.

Hope that helps!

Mako - the discovery of this natural resource drawn directly from the planet's life force marked the dawn of a new era, and now the energy sustains the lives of people across the world. However, the Shinra Company has monopolized mako production, and in doing so established a powerful hegemony--its influence reaching the far corners of the globe. Cloud, a former member of Shinra's military organization, SOLDIER, joins the anti-Shinra resistance group AVALANCHE, despite caring little for their motives. During one of the group's attempts to stop the company, they learn of the return of Sephiroth, Cloud's nemesis, and that with his reemergence, the planet is in greater danger than anyone had expected.

For those that aren't aware, here's a synopsis of Full Throttle.

The story takes place in the not-too-distant-future and centers on Ben, the leader of a motorcylce gang called the Polecats. We're introduced to him when his gang comes upon a hover-limo on the road, and he rides over the top of it, breaking the hood ornament, and then leaves it in the dust.

Unknown to him, the limo is carrying Malcolm Corley, the President of Corley Motors, the last remaining domestic manufacturer of motorcycles, and a former biker himself, and his Vice-President Adrian Ripburger.

Corley is intrigued by Ben's gang, and has the limo follow them to a bar, where he ends up befriending Ben and his gang, telling tales of his biker days.

Ripburger has the idea to hire Ben's gang to escort Corley to the shareholder's meeting. But when Ben refuses, he has him beaten and tossed in a dumpster (the others don't know this) and convinces the rest of the gang to come along.

When Ben comes to, he tries to catch up with them, but his bike has been sabotaged, causing him to crash. When he comes to he meets a female mechanic (Maureen or "Mo") who fixes up his bike for him. But in the meantime, Ripburger makes his move, murdering Malcolm Corley, and framing the Polecats for the crime. Ben comes across the dying Corley, who reveals that Ripburger killed him, that he plans to take over the company and switch from making motorcycles to minivans. He wants Ben to find his daughter, who he has left the company to in his will, and make things right. It turns out the daughter is none other than the mechanic who just fixed up Ben's bike.

From there, Ben takes part in motorcycle combat with various rival gangs, jumps a ravine, takes part in a demolition derby, etc., getting sage advice and assistance along the way from Father Torque (a role I plan to beef up a bit from the game) the retired former leader of the Polecats, with the goal of getting Maureen to the shareholders meeting to thwart Ripburger's scheme, and expose the truth about the murder to clear his, and his gang's, names.

Lots of fun action (which will, IMHO, be much more fun as part of a movie than it was when implemented in the game), more than a dash of humor, murder, justice, and a hint of romance (though Ben and Maureen don't end up riding off into the sunset together. Didn't happen in the game, and it just wouldn't feel right by the characters to change that up for the film).
    Final Fantasy
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

I still don't like the lead actors of FF and KotOR.

I don't like the lead actor in any of them.

Aww...what's wrong with Karl Urban? He was probably the best part of the new Star Trek films, IMHO. And he's a rider of Rohan!

Karl Urban is frikkin awesome, but go KOTOR!!

I can't believe I'm leading this. I'll try to enjoy it while it lasts.

(Don't get me wrong, I really like my proposal, and had no hesitation in voting for it over the others, but with the passion demonstrated on both sides in the FF vs KOTOR matchup, I figured I didn't stand a chance.)

There's Jared Padalecki staring me right in the face, keeping me from voting for KOTOR. One of my favorite games and Star Wars stories. UGGGGGGGHHHHH

With the other contest tied, and this one tied, if that keeps up would we end up with a four team free-for-all? If FF got another vote, would it be a FIVE team final?

Sigh. Hard to beat the Star Wars brand.
