Draft Theme:
The idea for this draft is to create two conferences of 8 teams and 2 leagues each, one for heroes and one for villains. Teams will be constructed from pools of characters, instead of from anything available, thus matching more of a sports draft like design.
Heroes will be represented by official members of the Justice League teams from Earth One, Earth 1, New Earth, and Prime Earth (otherwise known as the mainstream versions of the DC universe) and Avengers teams of the 616 Universe (otherwise known as the mainstream version of the Marvel universe). Teams not included would be Great Lakes Avengers, Justice Society, Young Justice, Young Avengers, or any team not distinctly known as the Avengers or Justice League in any official standing. Honorary members are also not counted.
Villains are represented by regular, iconic, or distinguished foes of the Justice League or the Avengers in any of their mainstream incarnations.
Heroes and Villains draft specific rules:
Draft Pools:
Avengers Heroes Pool
Justice League Heroes Pool
Avengers Villains Pool
Justice League Villains Pool
Concept:
Draft setup would require 15 regular players (or drafters) and a draft commissioner. The draft commissioner (me) will play, making it 16 drafters in all.
The pools from which the draft are to pull from have been determined by the draft commissioner. (See pools above.) These pools have been broken down into 4 groups, adding up to a total of 269 draftable characters for the heroes side and 492 draftable characters for the villains side. Only 56 characters will be drafted in total from each pool in total.
The draft has three distinct stages of play. Drafting stage, League stage, and Tourney stage.
Draft stage would be held in 8 rounds. 1 for each character slot and a lightning round, allowing any trades between players.
Rounds will be done in a snaking manner, meaning the last player to draft in the first round would be first in the second.
In the League stage, drafters have 4 chances to make additional changes to their teams between each League stage round.
These can be either switching out with non-drafted characters from the pool leftover, or with other drafters if they agree.
Drafters cannot make changes to their roster during the Tourney stage.
Movement from League stage to Tourney stage should halve the entire draft roster, leaving only 8 remaining teams. Those 8 teams will be made up of the 4 winners of the 4 leagues across the two conferences. The other 4 slots will be created from the 2 highest scoring non-winners and winners of a wildcard free-for-all round between the League and Tourney stages separated by the two conferences.
Drafters/Teams:
Drafters cannot be anonymous.
Drafters cannot enter multiple times, including entering in both conferences.
Drafters must choose which conference they enter.
These rules may be subject to change depending on the number of drafters after a certain amount of time.
Drafting will commence the day after all slots have been confirmed.

- Drafting stages would see players drafting their team.
- League stage organizes the teams into leagues and/or conferences in voter determined match-ups.
- Winners from the League stage move up to the Tourney stage, where finalists compete in single contest matches. The winner of the draft is the winner of the final stage. (It is similar to American Football in this regard.)
