Got to disagree with you, I rather liked last night's one. A bit complicated at times and maybe even has a little too much "Moffat" to it but it was enjoyable, not too bad. I'd argue that so far Listen is my least favourite of the series so far.Originally posted by IonFan(even if the ear sucking helped get me off faster)Originally posted by Big Daddy CaesarIf I had things like the internet and a laptop as a kid, I never would have left my room as a teenager.Originally posted by QuakerI am the Geoff Johns of the GLCMB.

I liked the Robin Hood one too. Not my usual taste in doctor who but somehow still enjoyable.Originally posted by IonFan(even if the ear sucking helped get me off faster)Originally posted by Big Daddy CaesarIf I had things like the internet and a laptop as a kid, I never would have left my room as a teenager.Originally posted by QuakerI am the Geoff Johns of the GLCMB.

I really liked the last episode. It didn't leave a lot of question at the end like so many of the other ones. It was a tad bit rushed but it seemed to work.
I did start thinking about when the Doctor starts telling people to shut up when no one is talking. Maybe he is telling a part on himself to shut up. A part of him that is opposed to him figuring out whatever it is he's trying to figure out.Time,Space and Will Power

Last episode we had jelly babies and a slip into 4's voice; this episode (Flatline) we pretty much had him quoting 10 from The Christmas Invasion and Shakespeare Code (and another I couldn't place); In Robots of Sherwood there's was enough physical slapstick, pocket tapping and caustic grumpyness that characterised 7 (not to mention spoon!).
Usually there's some personality crossover in the first episode of a new Doctor (11 showed a lot of 10 in The Eleventh Hour) but it's getting to the point where 12 should have settled into himself.
Is the Doctor having trouble keeping his previous identities contained? Are they Breaking out? Is this why Time Lords are usually limited to 12 regenerations (The Master only really went properly hyper-bonkers after he was given a new set of regenerations for the time war) OR Is this an effect of the Doctor jumping into the scar to rescue Clara in Name of the Doctor?
Regardless, while I'm interested to see why so many of the Doctor's different personatilities are bleeding through, I wish they'd pull their finger out with the writing. Flatline was actually pretty good, but apart from Listen, the rest of the season has been abysmal (with Robots of Sherwood let off as possibly intentionally rubbish on account of emulating 7's early writing)
As for Missy - I guess River, (having gone slightly insane after several hundred years inside the Library mainframe), has worked out how to remotely download people at their moment of death and is saving them as examples of what happens to ordinary people whose paths cross the Doctor (or examples of people the Doctor is unable to save), which she's going to throw back at him in revenge for leaving her imprisoned in the library. Alternatively, the common theory is right and she's just Missy the Mistress, the female regeneration of The Master :/ (complete with a control room decked out like a garden with a fountain for a console)Minimum space distance:

Or the reason he keeps slipping into other doctors is because Moffat can't help himself but try and nod to the shows history and doesn't know when to stop.Originally posted by IonFan(even if the ear sucking helped get me off faster)Originally posted by Big Daddy CaesarIf I had things like the internet and a laptop as a kid, I never would have left my room as a teenager.Originally posted by QuakerI am the Geoff Johns of the GLCMB.

Of the classic regenerations I've seen it was usually just a bout of amnesia.Minimum space distance:
