Last night's episode was awful. It's odd how many good reviews I've seen for it. And yet I've seen bad reviews for Listen, which was a much better episode!

Yeah, that would make sense. Post-life but pre-collapse.

I like how fans have filled in the gap with Pertwee's tattoo. Leave this unexplained and in a few years there will be 4 or 5 cometing theories on the ring,

BTW: regarding the last episode, wasn't the Doctor at the end of the universe in "Utopia"? Is that supposed to be the same planet?
And, I'm no astrophysicist, but at the heat death of the universe, aren't all things supposed to cease including time? Could be wrong about this.

They could tie it into the whole Missy plot. But I doubt it.

So I wonder if they will say anything about it in the show or will it be like Pertwee's tattoo.

No, it's Capaldi's actual ring. He didn't want to take it off.

I wonder if it has anything to do with River?

Has anyone else noticed that the new Doctor wears a wedding band?

lol he looks like a kiddy fiddler in the clown outfit, especially with the smile. Yeah for me that was pretty much the only thing missing for me in Deep Breath but I think they wanted to point out the "no thrills" status of his outfit by not going great lengths into it.

I wonder how Baker would be remembered if they had picked the viking outfit.
