Easy: Emma Watson is boring in everything else she does. She was always the black sheep in the harry Potter trio. Plus I don't like the actress much, and she's far too young. In my mind, she's too young and posh for both the doctor and a companion.

The black sheep? You must not have been paying attention. She was one of the best and smartest person in that whole series. If not for her Harry would have died about 6 times. Plus she is gorgeous.

But she was always the clever nerdy one being left out. Plus she sucked.

A) You're like twice her age at minimum. When you were an adult, she was just an eleven year old.

A)Uhh...She' 23 dude. I don't know how hold you think I am but she and I are only 6 years apart.

B.) As the sun is bright. I can still point out beauty.


Regardless my question still remains unanswered by you. If we have never had a female doctor to set the standards of a female doctor how do we know what the standards are the she apprently does not fit?

All I can say is I don't think if the Doctor was a woman that I want to be attracted to her. It would be really odd saying something like "The Doctor sure is hot." At least from my standpoint.

Doctor Who Series 8 with have a uninterupted run of 12 episodes airing from the Autumn of 2014, with the Christmas Special of 2014, the Series 8 Finale according to sources. Steven Moffat will also return as Head Writer, with a new Executive Producer announced last month, and Jenna as companion. The Series begins filming in the autumn after the 2013 Christmas Special is filmed late next month/August. The 12th Doctor will be announced within the month, and to quote, the BBC has not ruled out hiring a woman to replace Matt Smith, although it is thought Ben Daniels has already been signed.

I'll be shocked if the BBC hires anyone other than a young white man, but I won't complain. Diversity is something DW has badly needed for decades. Regarldess, the new Doctor will last three, maybe four "seasons" before we get another one. Move along.

Really? Man she's older than I thought. Still a lot younger than the youngest doctor though. Too young.

She's plain.

Well if we let Watson set the standards for a female doctor, I'll have been right all along saying that it'd be a mistake.

Now this is interesting.

I remember reading on a blog a few months ago that Ben Daniels is under consideration for the twelfth doctor. Funny thing was it was only that blog saying that and I remember the forum where I found the link probably thought it was just a hoax. Gets you wondering....

I'd be very happy if Daniels was chosen, not seen him in anything before, but he looks the part.

I have a feeling that Daniels was probably considered by Moffat for the eleventh doctor before choosing Smith.

It's a shame that the new Doc won't be a surprise. That always takes the air out of any ending/regeneration story.

That's the way of the world. It'd be cool if the whole regeneration was kept secret. Like in the stolen Earth, I thought that was it, Tennant was gone. That lead to the whole week being about guessing doctor eleven. They should do that again, to prove that he can die at any moment.
