  • Yes. Martha is cool. Also, her season has the best Tennant episode ever: Blink.

Well, it certainly separates us. Donna is hands down my least favorite/most hated companion ever and I mean from Ian/Barbara/Susan right through Clara. She's the kind of person that if she were in any circles I was in, I'd have to make every possible excuse to be out of ear-shot from her. Her granddad's awesome, of course.

      • I hated Donno at first but I warmed up to her after a while. She did give me some laugh out loud moments with some of her comments. I happen to be rather fond of Amy and Rory (Rory just a bit more ) Everytime I see him it makes me chuckle because he looks like a real life grown up Phineas from Phineas and Ferb. I have seen one or two Clara episodes but don't have any feelings towards here either way. I liked Martha too. She had some really great episodes. Rose is definitely my favorite. Her mother was great too, however I could not stand Mickey.
I LOVE conspiracy theorists. They are like human versions of the cymbal clapping, dancing monkeys. No one takes them all that seriously and they get bored with them after about 10 minutes.

        • I decided to go ahead and re-watch the Martha episodes, then on to Donna. It's been many years since I've seen this season and I forgot 90% of stories, so it's almost new to me again. I have nothing against Martha's character, I just have this nagging feeling that I didn't enjoy the show too much when I saw it. I think the season kind of dragged on if I remember right, but whatever. It's not like I'm going anywhere soon. Plenty of time.

Also, I'm looking forward to Davies' last episode of Who.

I've always thought this was a nice Life on Mars crossover. Sam Tyler nearly defeated the Doctor ;-)

I'd have preferred it to be McGann or Eccleston as well. Not that John Hurt did a bad job at all, but McGann was right there, fit nicely into that timeline, and would have done a hell of a job. I really hope we get to see him as the Doctor more.

The lead up with Derek Jacobi was so incredible, so well done, and had me so excited. And then he regenerated into that piece of shit. The last two episodes of that season were SO BAD that I have trouble going back and watching that season, despite some really great episodes.

I finished the Martha season last night, including "Blink". I forgot just how awesome that episode is. Onto Donna tonight.

Amy and Rory suck beyond suckyness. Blink is overrated and so are the Angels. TDOTD was great.

Wrong and wrong. I'll admit that later episodes with them made them a weaker concept.

That much is true. Subsequent viewings are less exciting, though. Nothing beats a movie theater full of Whovians, all watching this together...

                          • So I just finished up all of Season 6. I had seen more of that season than I actually thought, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I never understood the hate for Rory and Amy but I rather like them and Rory is adorable. River is so damn awesome and so FAB! I would love to be besties with her lol.

The pair of them are annoying and bland. Boring characters. I literally cheered in the Angels of Manhattan when they were gone for good! Good riddens.

I'll admit I liked Blink, but I don't get all the love for it. It was slightly above average, but it wasn't outstanding and certainly not one of the best in the shows history. The doctor was barley even in it. I hate doctor-lite episodes, so that alone makes Blink lucky that for one, it was okay. The Angel two parter with Smith was also average although I preferred it to Blink. Was average but fun. Apart from Eleventh Hour, it's one of the only decent stories in series 5. Then I loved TATM (series7), certainly my fave Weeping Angels storyline.

                              • There's nothing "bland" about Amy/Karen in my book: Scottish, red-head, and hot.
