Well, I want to know who you think is the #1 Greatest Villain of All-Time. Post it here, and look at other people's opinions as well. My personal choice would have to be between either Black Mask or The Joker. Black Mask is just a constant, ruthless threat who almost tore Gotham City apart. The Joker is just a sick and twisted genocidal maniac who kills because it makes him laugh, and no other reason. In my opinion, these two are without a doubt 2 of the greatest villains of ALL-TIME. On Earth. But, if you want to go intergalactic, I'll say Sinestro, mostly because he almost instilled a new UNIVERSAL order.

Henshaw can not be a "greatest" as he's just a copy...first a reed richards wannabe and then a lame cyborg-ie Superman. THere's not much original about him and even teh name "the cyborg" is boring.
Now how do you measure "greatest villain"? Actual threat level or popularity? The Joker is scary and all...but he's a small time clown. Surely Lex Luthor is a lot more dangerous than him. As far as BAT villains go...Ras Al Ghoul is a lot more dangerous than a demented clown.
If this is cross compnay, I would probably vote for Dr. Doom. Doom has done stuff like stolen the Beyonder and Galactus power. For DC, probably Darkseid in terms of both power, threat, and actual interesting to read (lots of powerful guys who are boring).
Sinestro is definatly second rate to Darkseid. He's a lot less interesting than Doom...who I would consider a bigger threat as well.Comment

lets face it in his history he's Killed superman, Ripped the Lantern corps apart and caused a guardian to have to kill himself (way before they used the same gig on Prime), He was beaten once by the radiant then second time killed him
He has taken two seperate justice leagues apart and Even Darkseid is scared of him
He ripped several impiriex probes apart and despite being charbroiled is still alive, he went onto rip apart the gog army who had killed (not really But) superman.
and in infinite Crisis it took TWO, count em TWO supermen to stop him
He took Darkseids Omega Beam point blank and shrugged it off
He took Orions Astro-Force and kept coming
In the DC Comics universe Doomsday Reigns Supreme
and just to put off speculation He'd Kick World war Hulks arse!Comment
