              about 3 maybe 4 weeks ago this here (^) was $0.99 at Food Lion (where i work at ) now it's $1.30 ()


              and today i heard on the news that the "top-dogs in DC" () are thinking of adding a 6% to 7% VAT tax to all of the our other taxes we pay (Fed, State, and Income taxes) also thinking of adding $0.16 more in taxes to gas ()

                      We've got to pay for those Tax Cuts to the Wealthy 1% somehow.
                      And if that means taxing crap food that the lower classes eat, then so be it.

                      The deficit isn't going to pay itself off.
                      You'll just have to work harder, is all.

                          I disagree, Hillary.
                          What's coming is only going to hurt people who don't have money.
                          And if it's one thing years of Conservative talking points have taught me: people who don't have money are that way because they are lazy.

                          If your four jobs aren't cutting it, then maybe you need to find a singular job that does.

                            While I don't disagree that tax cutting the upper percentage of incomes while operating military services in two different countries is a horrible idea....I don't think that raising taxes off hand should be our first priority.

                            The fact is that our government throws away too much money on frivolous and petty bullshit. Giving more money to an irresponsible child will never make that child responsible for his money. It just makes him more demanding and irresponsible.

                            There's two sides to the coin and neither side is completely wrong, but neither side is seeing the forest because of all the goddamn trees.

                              I just don't see a lot of "spending reform/Deficit reduction" happening from a Senate that is currently holding the Legislative Branch of our government hostage.

                                Neither side is really stepping up to the plate in that regard....there's a lot of big talk but there's zero action.

                                All this brow beating by both parties is pointless and benefits no one.

                                I'm torn on where I stand...

                                On one hand, I don't want a useless government.

                                But on the other hand, change never comes without a serious catalyst. In the past, change has always been brought on by the barrel of a gun. But in this modern day....the economy and fiscal responsibility could very well be the weapon of choice.

                                These are scary times we live in, but interesting as well.
