I am glad about the artificial webbing as well, I hated the cum stains from the Raimi films.

Is it just me or does that costume look like a cross between the Normal Spider-Man costume and the Scarlet Spider costume.

The Iron-Spider costume or Ben-Reilly's Spider-Man costume? I'm not sure I see the resemblance to Ben's Scarlet Spider costume.

Hmm, I like it. It reminds me abit of House of M Spidey.

I was thinking it looks like an adaptation of Ben Reilly's Spider-Man costume, only the Emblem is significantly slimmer and with the red on the torso getting thinner as it goes further down, rather than covering the whole torso. The gloves have a bit more red on them too, probably to make up for the lack of web-shooters.

Sorry I just cant sit through another origin movie, he has to go through the hardship blah blah, no.

Or possibly as a nod to 2099 where O'Hara had organic webbing, both in the comics and in the Shattered Dimensions game he says he's rather glad that the glands grew in his arms, rather than shooting them out of his butt.

Which was always nonsense. If the best minds at MIT can't come up with anything remotely like web shooters or invent material remotely like web material, then how are we supposed to buy that Peter Parker would? At least if they're organic you can chalk it up to part of the mutation or whatever.

About the costume, a lot of it just seems like making it different for the sake of making it different (from the Raimi suit). And that mesh looks a little too fancy to be believable that some High School kid just went and whipped it up in his room.
