The pattern in the costume reminds me of one of the Ultraman variants.



I liked the suit from the first 3 movies much better. Guess they don't believe in "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Or maybe they want to set themselves apart from what came before. The Hulk in Ang Lee's Hulk looks nothing like Hulk in Incredible Hulk.

Jesus, you'd THINK if they were going to change the costume, they'd at least have the common sense to make it BETTER. The Toby MgGuire costume was 10 times better than this. Why change it? They did it right the first time!!!

I'm hating everything about this movie more than I hated Greedo shooting first. And I HATED Greedo shooting first.

I don't hate everything about the new movie. Yes, it's a bit early for a reboot. Yes, the costume above seems a bit uninspired. Yes, I'm going to miss JK Simmons. And Bryce Dallas Howard was more convincing as a blonde. Denis Leary is a plagiarizing asshole that owes his whole career to Bill Hicks. And I could seriously live without that Protogoblin.
But...
Garfield looks better than Maguire, and he was great in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Emma Stone as Gwen is better than Kirsten Dunst as MJ. Martin Sheen is a great actor. We're finally rid of the Mighty Morphin Goblin armor. And if this new movie series avoids killing all of the villains, we might even get a Sinister Six at some point down the road.

Its being said that this is just the wrestling outfit Peter wears when starting out.

No. It's being speculated that this is just the wrestling outfit. I sure hope so, but we can't really say.
