it was all part of a marketing scheme by Apple. A publicity stunt to get more people to buy the 4gs's. Trying to guilt you into buying the product because you feel sympathetic for Jobs.

honestly just be glad he wasnt in pain or anything like that. my aunts ex-husband has a gf with rectal cancer and he told me the other day she isnt doing good.


she cant go to work or even get out of bed because shes always in pain.



the sad thing is she never told her son she is dying.


she even refused treatment for the last 3 years i believe.

He was though. He'd gone through two painful surgeries, but he grit his teeth and went into work. His first surgery was an immensely painful one.

Oversimplified, perhaps, but I'd argue the accuracy. Pixar wouldn't be Pixar without Jobs. Pixar wouldn't have partnered with Disney without Jobs.

Steve Jobs handled the business side at Pixar. For that I am grateful, but I don't give him credit for the QUALITY of the product (except indirectly, in his willingness to be hands-off on that side of things).

As for the partnership with Disney, I'm not entirely convinced that's a good thing, frankly. I think Disney needs Pixar more than Pixar needs Disney. Disney animation is not what it used to be. If you subtract Pixar's efforts, what does Disney have to show for the last several years in terms of animation?

I have a feeling that Disney influence is behind the existence of Cars 2. No way of proving that, of course, just a feeling. I do know, though, that Disney is making its own Cars spin-off, direct to DVD movie, without Pixar's involvement (unless you count Pixar setting it up with a Mater short on the Cars 2 DVD), called Planes. I REALLY didn't want to start seeing Disney's tendency to churn out forgettable, direct-to-DVD cash-in offerings by the bushel bleeding over into Pixar's territory.
