I voted no, and I'll tell you why. The Internet cannot be regulated, not truly, (people who pursue violation of copyright is an entire other segment of law). Even if it could, free speech (at least in the United States) applies. You are allowed by law to make a complete ass of yourself. More power to you for doing it too. Lets me know who to avoid.

Leet speak will never be banned it started (and still exists as a) vile shorthand. It blossomed into something far more elaborate, but it serves as a clear indicator of the quality of thought of the person conveying their message.

Simply put so what I've been doing since I was twelve in 1995. Ignore people incapable of typing in clear English with proper punctuation.

I would like to point out I am fairly drunk and I just got home from the bar and I was still able to type this fairly coherent post. People who type in leet are lazy and worthy of scorn or outright nonrecognition, but trying to 'ban' them is just foolish.

However, "people who type in leet are lazy" aren't they simply taking shortcuts, similar to what I just did? Missed it? "are not" = "aren't". Isn't doing things faster more efficient, and thus smarter?
