I'll have to see if I can watch one of those two this week.

I was thinking the same thing reading that. Her life spanned 3 centuries. She could have told you how people felt when the Titanic sank, about WWI, and all sorts of things you cant get from a book or documentary.

Cuba Gooding Sr., a soul singer who had his biggest hit in the 1970s with "Everybody Plays the Fool," was found dead in a car in Woodland Hills Thursday afternoon, officials said.

Gooding was found in a silver Jaguar in the 22100 block of Ventura Boulevard around 1 p.m. He was 72 and would have turned 73 next week.

Police are still investigating the cause of his death, but say there was no sign of any shooting at the scene.

I don't understand why she was broke and living in a trailer park. She had continuously received residuals from Happy Days for more than 30 years, and I assume that her husband was working. Her story sounds very much like Amanda Peterson's.

                    • Yeah but who knows what her residuals from Happy Days were. It could have been like 50 bucks a month for all we know. Thats why so many celebs do the convention circuit, to make an income.

Either way, 56 is far too young. My condolences to her family and friends.

My actor friend was in just eight episodes of a series that was shown on TV Land, and he was getting $3,000 a year from that. So she probably wasn't receiving a negligible amount. What I was getting at there but without wanting to come right out and say it was that a drug habit tends to be expensive. Does that prove she had one? No.

He wasn't bragging about it. He told me he gets checks for less than $2 for voiceovers he did for the answering machine in The Rockford Files.

Erin Moran was in 239 episodes of Happy Days.

                            • By the way, those residuals go only to actors who appeared in productions dated after January 1, 1970. So the actors who were in, say, Gilligan's Island get nothing.

Moran and some other cast members sued over royalties (not to be confused with residuals) a few years back because they weren't paid for their images being used on Happy Days merchandise. They settled for about $60K apiece.

                              • Erin Moran had Stage 4 cancer. There's no evidence yet that drugs were involved.
