Roy Dotrice, a veteran British actor, died at his London home on Monday. He was 94.
Damn. Now the audio books of A Song Of Ice And Fire will have to be finished with a different narrator. Dotrice was superb on those readings (and yes, I have the books and read them first). What a wonderful voice.

Project Runway alum Mychael Knight has died at the age of 39. The fashion designer, who also appeared on Project Runway: All Stars, passed away outside Atlanta on Tuesday, October 17.
Character actor Brent Briscoe, who played Lou Chambers in Sam Raimi’s A Simple Plan, appeared with Billy Bob Thornton in Sling Blade, and most recently played Detective Dave Macklay in David Lynch’s Twin Peaks revival on Showtime, died Wednesday in Los Angeles, a friend announced on Facebook. A cause of death is not known. He was 56.
So on the way into work today, the news broke on the John DeBella show that George Young had died, and John went into a borderline depression over it (at least, for an Italian-American radio host). He brought up and played the Easybeats version of Friday's On My Mind.

Antoine “Fats” Domino, the jovial New Orleans entertainer whose bluesy singing and boogie-woogie piano style helped launch rock-and-roll in the 1950s with such rollicking songs as “Blueberry Hill,” “Ain’t That a Shame” and “I’m Walkin’,” died Oct. 24. He was 89.
Yes. They wouldn't make an article about it, if he didn't pass. He was 89, so he lived a long decent life. I remember his best as the voice of Rafiki in The Lion King. RIP!
