Clive James, the Australian writer and broadcaster known around the world for his dry wit, has died at the age of 80.
Diagnosed with leukaemia in 2010, the author and critic had movingly written about his terminal illness during the final years of his life.

Theatre director, writer and actor Jonathan Miller died this morning aged 85, his family said.
Miller, who shot to fame as part of the comedy revue Beyond the Fringe with Peter Cook, Dudley Moore and Alan Bennett, had a lengthy career that took in medicine, broadcasting, books and the theatre.Comment

Taiwanese-Canadian model and actor Godfrey Gao has died after collapsing on set while filming a variety show in China.
The 35-year-old was a guest participant on Chase Me, a reality TV show that sees teams competing to win a race.
