I just heard about Alex Trebek. He seemed remarkably youthful to be 80, but the odds are low of surviving pancreatic cancer at any age.

Spears’ son, Kevin Spears, tells Variety that he died from complications related to Lewy body dementia.

British actor Geoffrey Palmer, known for the long-running series “As Time Goes By,” “Butterflies” and “The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin,” has died peacefully at home, his agent told the BBC. He was 93.
In “As Time Goes By,” Palmer co-starred with Judi Dench. The two reunited in the 1997 James Bond film “Tomorrow Never Dies.” Other notable films he was in include “The Madness of King George,” “A Fish Called Wanda,” “Mrs. Brown,” and “Paddington.” His last appearance is in “An Unquiet Life,” a film currently in post-production.

Elsa Raven, known for her roles in “Back to the Future” and “Amen,” died on Monday at the age of 91.
Born Elsa Rabinowitz, she chose Raven as her stage name and began her career performing in New York City. She went on to find a successful career in both television and film, landing her first movie role in 1970’s “The Honeymoon Killers,” where she played a matron.

Cheryl Tiano, an agent for the Gorfaine-Schwartz Agency representing film, TV and game composers, died Monday night of complications from heart surgery. She was 59.
The agency issued this statement Tuesday night: “It is with deepest sorrow that we mourn the passing of our dear friend and colleague Cheryl Tiano. Cheryl was a beloved member of our GSA family for nearly 30 years… It is impossible to express how deeply we will miss her.”

John Sessions, a Scottish actor and comedian best known for his role on the U.K. version of “Whose Line Is It Anyway,” died on Monday at his home in South London, his agency Markham, Froggatt & Irwin confirmed to Variety. He was 67.
Sessions appeared on several other British comedy shows, including “Have I Got News for You,” “QI,” “Stella Street” and “Spitting Image.” A noted character actor, he appeared in a wide variety of TV shows and films from the 1980s through the 2010s.

Carol Arthur, an actress best known for her several collaborations with Mel Brooks including “Blazing Saddles,” has died, Variety has confirmed. She was 85.
Arthur died on Sunday at the Motion Picture and Television Fund’s Mary Pickford House in Woodland Hills, Calif.

Marge Champion, a dancer and actor who served as the real-life model for Disney’s 1937 animated classic “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” died on Wednesday in Los Angeles, according to The New York Times. She was 101.
Champion and her husband, Gower Champion, also had great success as dance partners and choreographers for Broadway musicals, films and television shows. Champion won an Emmy award in 1975 for choreographing the television movie “Queen of the Stardust Ballroom.”
