Billie Hayes, whose portrayal of the flamboyantly and comically wicked witch Witchiepoo on the 1969-70 Saturday morning live-action children’s classic H.R. Pufnstuf, died of natural causes Thursday April 29 at Cedar’s Hospital in Los Angeles. She was 96.

Her death was announced by her family.

A Broadway veteran by the time she reached national fame as the flute-stealing nemesis to a psychedelic dragon, Hayes had starred as Mammy Yokum in both the Broadway and film versions of the popular late-1950s musical Lil’ Abner. She’d made her Broadway debut in New Faces of 1956 along with an ensemble that included actress Maggie Smith.

Shock G, famous for Digital Underground's hit song "The Humpty Dance" and his work with Tupac Shakur, is dead.

The rap legend was found dead Thursday in a hotel room in Tampa ... according to his father, Edward Racker.

We're told the cause of death is unclear but there were no signs of trauma. Shock's father says authorities will conduct and autopsy.

Such a shame between he and dmx. Kind of makes you worry of where the genre will go after all the talented artists are gone. I despise todays hip-hop . 70s through 2005 was the best. Oh i agree. I just recently did a 90s binge with mighty max street sharks and making my way through gargoyles wich i never watched as a kid. I was a tmnt lifer so i ignored gargoyles. 90s was the last great decade for tv and music imo. Even some films. I remember in 2014 i went to visit family in dekalb here in Illinois wich is a good hour hour 45 depending on traffic and i saw a phone booth. Im like holy shit talk about nostalgia. Todays generation wouldnt know what a phone booth or phone book is. Hell i remember pagers. Specificaly my brothers . It was vomit dark green. Just for nostalgia ill watch old 90s talk shows and toy commercials. You dont see toy commercials anymore. You dont see wall phones anymore wich back than were 20 bucks . Today we pay a few hundred to 1200 for 1 cell phone depending on the brand.

Jacques d'Amboise, the premier New York City Ballet dancer who displayed his energy and athleticism on the big screen in the musicals Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Carousel, has died. He was 86.

D'Amboise died Sunday in his Manhattan home of complications from a stroke, his daughter, actress-dancer Charlotte d'Amboise, told The New York Times.

He spent the past four-plus decades providing free classes to schoolchildren at his New York-based National Dance Institute.

Former Milwaukee Brewers manager Del Crandall, who was an 11-time All-Star and key figure on the Milwaukee Braves teams of the 1950s, died Wednesday at age 91.

Crandall's two-pronged Milwaukee career included eight All-Star appearances as a Milwaukee Brave, four Gold Gloves at catcher and a key role on the 1957 World Series champion.

Tawny Kitaen, the actress who starred in "Bachelor Party" and whose personal life was filled with radical ups and downs, has died ... TMZ has learned.

Kitaen died in Newport Beach Friday. The coroner has yet to determine cause of death.

Former President Barack Obama announced his family's dog Bo died Saturday, saying the Obamas "lost a true friend and loyal companion."

"For more than a decade, Bo was a constant, gentle presence in our lives—happy to see us on our good days, our bad days, and everyday in between," Obama said in a post on Twitter accompanied with a photo of him running side-by-side with Bo through the White House.

"He tolerated all the fuss that came with being in the White House, had a big bark but no bite, loved to jump in the pool in the summer, was unflappable with children, lived for scraps around the dinner table, and had great hair," he said. "He was exactly what we needed and more than we ever expected. We will miss him dearly."
