God that's terrible. My respect goes out to him and his family.

    • William Smith, RIP. Look through this man's credits. It's unbelievable.

Yeah, I've known who he was for quite some time, but even before I knew his name it was like "oh, that guy." Usually a bad guy or tough guy.

        • RIP Mr. Smith. Oddly enough the first thing I can remember seeing him was in Cronenberg's off-kitler random racing movie Fast Company. Dude was a real physical presence.

That's an under-appreciated title. I think of him first as Conan's dad.

Acclaimed DC Comics artist Robson Rocha has died.

Fellow comic book artist Fabi Marques confirmed Rocha's passing in a post to Twitter. "I'm really sorry to inform that we lost Robson," she wrote. "One of the greatest artists of our generation. Rest in power."

Artist Yıldıray Çınar was among the first to relay the news, adding, "So sorry to learn that Robson Rocha left us today," Çınar wrote. "RIP Robson. So young and early… My condolences to his family, his loved ones and all his fans."

News of Rocha's passing comes less than two weeks after Marques put out a post explaining that Rocha had been hospitalized with COVID-19 and was in dire need of blood donations.

Born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, Rocha got his start in comics in 2010. For DC specifically, he worked on such New 52 titles as Birds of Prey, Superboy, Batman/Superman, Lobo and Earth 2: World's End.

WWE Hall Of Famer 'Mr. Wonderful' Paul Orndorff has sadly passed away aged 71, according to his son on social media.

                His son Travis posted:

"It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my father, Paul Parlette Orndorff Jr. . He is better known as “Mr. #1derful” Paul Orndorff. Most of you will remember him for his physique. Many will remember his intensity. But if I could only get you to understand and see his heart. He will always be Pop, Paw Paw, and Daddy at home. And as much as many of you hated him as a wrestler, he absolutely loved you for it. He was an amazing father that showed me more love than I ever deserved. I love you Daddy.

A donation page is available in my bio for funeral expenses. Any close friends whom would like to speak at his funeral, please message me on Instagram Travis_Orndorff.

Former Gov. Edwin W. Edwards, who embodied Louisiana’s populist era in the late 20th century — championing the poor and ushering Black people and women into state government but also facing repeated accusations of corruption before finally being sent to prison for taking bribes — died just before 7 a.m. Monday at his home in Gonzales.

                  He was 93.

The cause of death: respiratory problems that had plagued him in recent years, said Leo Honeycutt, his biographer. Friends and family surrounded his bedside.

I'm very sorry that he's gone. But I'm having some trouble believing that the family can't afford to bury him.

EDIT: Wait, I just saw that he was living in a nursing home and suffering from dementia. I happen to know that that can wipe a person out financially fast, because it happened to a wealthy relative of mine. So yes, I can believe that he was broke.

I worked in assistant living for a year in the kitchen. Youd be amazed how much it can be. Based on what the individual needs where i worked it was like 1300 monthly cheapest 8 grand monthly. It also depends on the area. The nurses only make like 15 . Imo they deserve 30 a hour for dealing with death being hit bit cleaning piss and shit. Im a man i cant do what they do. I remember finding someone dead when delivering food to there room. I told those nurses thank god for them and the nurses were late 40's 50's the oldeest being 61 all women

Jeff LaBar, best known as the guitarist for glam metal band Cinderella, has died. His son Sebastian confirmed the news on Wednesday via a social media post. He was 58. The cause of death was not disclosed.

“My father, my hero, my idol, passed away today. I’m currently at a loss for words. I love you pop!,” Sebastian wrote via Instagram. “If you could, please share pictures or video of all the fun times we all had with my dad. It would be greatly appreciated.”

LaBar linked up with Cinderella in 1985, after founding guitarist Michael Schermick departed. He joined the Philadelphia band as they were signing to Mercury/Polygram and remained in the band through 2017. In 1986, they released their debut album, Night Songs. The LP’s breakthrough single “Nobody’s Fool” reached Number 13 and the album hit Number 3 on the Billboard 200. They subsequently toured with Poison, David Lee Roth, and Bon Jovi.

Rapper Biz Markie -- most famous for his iconic hit "Just a Friend" -- has died after a series of complications from diabetes that he's been fighting for more than a year ... TMZ has confirmed.

A family source tells us Biz passed away in a Baltimore hospital at 6:25 PM Friday night. We're told his wife, Tara Hall, held his hand as he took his last breath ... and the nursing staff was there to support his family, telling them how strong he was through his fight.

A rep for Biz tells us, "We are grateful for the many calls and prayers of support that we have received during this difficult time. Biz created a legacy of artistry that will forever be celebrated by his industry peers and his beloved fans whose lives he was able to touch through music, spanning over 35 years. He leaves behind a wife, many family members and close friends who will miss his vibrant personality, constant jokes and frequent banter."

Gloria Richardson, an influential yet largely unsung civil rights pioneer whose determination not to back down while protesting racial inequality was captured in a photograph as she pushed away the bayonet of a National Guardsman, has died. She was 99.

Tya Young, her granddaughter, said Richardson died in her sleep Thursday in New York City and had not been ill. Young said while her grandmother was at the forefront of the civil rights movement, she didn’t seek praise or recognition.

“She did it because it needed to be done, and she was born a leader,” Young said.

Richardson was the first woman to lead a prolonged grassroots civil rights movement outside the Deep South. In 1962, she helped organized and led the Cambridge Movement on Maryland’s Eastern Shore with sit-ins to desegregate restaurants, bowling alleys and movie theaters in protests that marked an early part of the Black Power movement.

                              • Not THAT Jerry Lewis!

Former Republican Rep. Jerry Lewis, who became a hero in his community for steering hundreds of millions of federal dollars to projects in his inland Southern California district, but was criticized as an exemplar of pork-barrel spending abuses, has died. He was 86.

His death was announced in a statement by California Republican Rep. Ken Calvert, who said on his website that Lewis “made an enormous impact on his district, the state of California and our nation.”

Calvert said that “if Jerry was ever criticized, it was for delivering too much and too often for his district. Our country would be a far better place if all of our public servants worked as tirelessly and effectively for the people they represented as Jerry Lewis did.”
