Adams belongs in the very highest rank of comics artists, up there with a handful of people like Jack Kirby and Carmine Infantino. I saw an interview where Infantino was laughing about the fact that DC originally put Adams on the Jerry Lewis comic!

Mino Raiola, the agent who represented some of football's most high-profile players, has died at the age of 54.

The Dutch-Italian's stable of players included Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba and AC Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Raiola was also president of the Football Forum, which represented leading agents and their players.

"His presence will be forever missed," the Raiola family said in a statement.

It read: "In infinite sorrow, we share the passing of the most caring and amazing football agent that ever was.

Joanna Barnes, a longtime film and television actress who appeared in both versions of the classic comedy The Parent Trap, died Friday at her home in The Sea Ranch, California. She was 89 and succumbed to what was described as a lengthy illness by friend Sally Jackson.

In 1961 she played the role of gold digger Vicky Robinson in the original movie The Parent Trap. In the 1998 remake, she had the role of Vicki Blake, the gold digger’s mother. Her many film credits include Home Before Dark, Spartacus, and The War Wagon.

Her extensive television credits include starring in three series, 21 Beacon Street, The Trials of O’Brien, and Dateline Hollywood. She was a frequent guest on dozens of TV series including The Millionaire, Mannix, Murder She Wrote, and Cheers. Joanna was a guest on many of TV’s early quiz programs and chat shows including What’s My Line, To Tell the Truth, and The Johnny Carson Show.

Naomi Judd, whose family harmonies with daughter Wynonna turned them into the Grammy-winning country stars The Judds, has died. She was 76.

Her daughters, Wynonna and Ashley, announced her death on Saturday in a statement provided to The Associated Press.

“Today we sisters experienced a tragedy. We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness," the statement said. "We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory."

The footwear industry has lost a giant, as sneaker brands have confirmed to Complex the passing of legendary designer and sportswear exec Peter Moore.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Peter Moore, an iconic designer, whose legacy will forever be connected to Jordan Brand, and the sneaker culture he helped to create,” said Jordan Brand Vice President Howard “H” White. “We extend our deepest sympathies to the Moore family during this time.”

Moore, who was a creative director at Nike and Adidas, has a portfolio that includes era-defining work like the iconic Air Jordan 1. Released in 1985, the Jordan 1 is a shoe largely responsible for shaping sneaker culture as we know it today. Moore’s resume also includes the Nike Dunk, another ‘85 release that has experienced a massive resurgence on the market in recent years.

After adding Nike as a client of his design agency in 1977, Moore officially joined the company as its first brand creative director in 1983. In addition to designing shoes, Moore played a prominent role in creating campaigns and designing logos, including the Jumpman silhouette adorning Michael Jordan’s sneakers.

Ric Parnell, the British rock drummer who played the unfortunate Mick Shrimpton in This Is Spinal Tap, and later toured with the band, as well played drums on hits such as Toni Basil’s “Mickey,” has died. He was 70.

Actor and comedian Harry Shearer, who played Spinal Tap bass player Derek Smalls, announced the news on Sunday, tweeting: “Ric Parnell, our drummer in This Is Spinal Tap, passed away today. No one ever rocked harder.”

No cause of death or further details were given.

David Birney, who starred with his future wife Meredith Baxter on the CBS sitcom Bridget Loves Bernie, a ratings hit that nonetheless was canceled after one season, has died. He was 83.

Birney died on Friday at his home in Santa Monica from Alzheimer’s disease, the New York Times reported, citing Michele Roberge, who said she was his life partner.Birney was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2017.

George Yanok, who earned two Emmy Awards for co-writing Lily Tomlin TV specials in the 1970s, died Friday in Nashville after an 18-month battle with lung cancer, his stepdaughter, Katie Hill, announced. He was 83.

One of the original writers on CBS’ Hee Haw, Yanok also wrote and/or produced for such other shows as Welcome Back, Kotter, Sanford & Son, The Bob Newhart Show, Too Close for Comfort, The Stockard Channing Show and the Bewitched spinoff, Tabitha.

Yanok was nominated for Emmys for his work on The Lily Tomlin Show and Lily, both of which aired on CBS in 1973, and for 1975’s The Lily Tomlin Special, for ABC. He won for the last two, sharing the honor with, among others, Tomlin’s longtime creative partner (and future wife), Jane Wagner

Jerry Ver Dorn, the soap opera actor who portrayed attorney Ross Marler on CBS’ Guiding Light for 26 years and then patriarch Clint Buchanan on ABC’s One Life to Live for another eight, has died. He was 72.

Ver Dorn died Sunday of cancer at his home in Sparta, New Jersey, his family announced.

On Broadway in 1979, Ver Dorn was playing an investigator in Eric Bentley’s Are You Now or Have You Ever Been? while also serving as George Grizzard’s understudy in George Bernard Shaw’s Man and Superman (and starring in matinees) when he was spotted by Guiding Light casting agents.

He joined the CBS soap in March 1979 as Marler and stuck with the role through 2005, earning Daytime Emmys in 1995 and ’96 and five other nominations along the way.

I was lucky enough to meet Neal Adam's years ago and had a wonderful lengthy interaction with him. They always say never meet your heroes and there's a lot of truth to that, but that was certainly not the case when I met Adam's. He was charming, kind, talkative and a general chatty Cathy which made it fun. If you put up a list of greats, theres no conversation to be had where Neal Adam's isn't on that list. An enormous loss for the industry.

I told a friend at church about neal and he whipps out his phone showing he having dinner with him. I guess he got in do to his job as a vendor at c2e2 . He stated neal spent the whole dinner talking about sex. No lie

Kevin Samuels, who gained notoriety for providing dating and relationship advice to people as an image consultant, has passed away, NBC News confirmed.

The YouTuber’s mom, Beverly Samuels-Burch, confirmed his death to NBC News on Friday. She declined to reveal additional details about his death.

Atlanta Police Department responded to an apartment Thursday morning after receiving reports of an “injured” person and attempted CPR. A woman told officers that Samuels had complained of chest pain before falling.

Mike Hagerty, a veteran character actor known for his comedic, nondescript everyman roles in shows like “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Seinfeld,” “Friends” and as a series regular in HBO’s “Somebody Somewhere,” has died. He was 67.

Hagerty’s death was announced by one of his “Somebody Somewhere” co-stars Bridgett Everett on behalf of his family on Friday. No cause of death was provided. Reps for Hagerty did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.

“I loved Mike the instant i met him. He was so special. Warm, funny, never met a stranger. We are devastated he has passed. Mike was adored by the entire cast and crew of ‘Somebody Somewhere.’ Our thoughts are with his wife and family,” Everett wrote.

Born in Chicago and an alum of the Second City comedy troupe, Mike Hagerty was known for his thick Chicagoan accent and mustache and blue-collar charm that helped him deliver a memorable presence in countless classic comedies, sitcoms and more, often thought of as “that guy” from shows like “Friends” or in isolated appearances on dozens of other shows.
