  • ^Just watched Blade Runner this week for the 40th.

Honestly, I hadn't realized he was still alive before. Another long life with very notable roles.

    • James Caan, RIP.

An excellent movie he was in and that few people have seen is Alien Nation. Check it out if you get a chance.

      • ^Indeed. Which I had a copy. He was also in Sam Peckinpah's Killer Elite and Michael Mann's feature debut, Thief, both of which I recommend (besides the obvious Godfather).

Tony Sirico, the actor known for playing mobster Peter Paul “Paulie Walnuts” Gualtieri on “The Sopranos,” died Friday, Variety confirmed with his manager. He was 79. Virico’s Paulie Walnuts, a bombastic and ferociously funny foot soldier to James Gandolfini’s Tony Soprano with one-liners like no one else, was a “Sopranos” scene-stealer from the start. Sirico balanced Paulie’s menace with his deadpan humor, and his penchant for malapropisms, once calling Sun Tzu “Sun Tuh-Zoo,” later referring to the philosopher as the “Chinese Prince Matchabelli.” Sirico appeared on all six seasons of “The Sopranos,” after he initially auditioned for the role of Uncle Junior. Dominic Chianese ultimately landed that part.

He was 60. His body was discovered on Wednesday floating off the coast of Nago in Okinawa Prefecture. Mr. Takahashi was traveling alone in Nago, a popular vacation destination, and had apparently been snorkeling when he died from unknown causes, a Coast Guard spokesman said. Kazuo Takahashi was born on Oct. 4, 1961, and began working as a manga artist in the early 1980s. But it wasn’t until 1996 that he began his rise to international fame with the story of a spiky-haired boy who challenges his enemies to duels involving magical games.

Ivana Trump, the first wife of former President Donald Trump whose high profile marriage was only eclipsed by a scandalous divorce, died Thursday afternoon at her Manhattan apartment.

                              She was 73.

Police responded to a call of a person in cardiac arrest at 10 East 64th Street on the Upper East Side at 12:40 p.m., and police sources said Ivana Trump was found unconscious and unresponsive at the bottom of a set of stairs.

The Medical Examiner has determined her cause of death was an accident and caused by blunt impact injuries to her torso.
