Unions were not to blame for this, if you bother to look up the company's recent history. Hostess has been in serious financial trouble unrelated to this since 2004 (multiple bankruptcies, even!), and they've been forcing their employees to take lower paychecks and reduced benefits. The unions were right to strike over yet another reduction, and screw Hostess for taking their profits and running. If your job reduced your pay and benefits, you'd do the same thing.

That said, Hybrid's right in that Twinkies and such will be back in no time. The recipes will be sold, and Entenmann's or someone will make 'em. In the meantime, there's always generic brands...

Somebody will buy the recipe and make it themselves or somebody will buy the company and keep making Hostess Twinkees or rename Hostess.

Doesn't matter what recent history says, the Union was told either get your asses back to work or the company will go under. The Union refused to get their asses back to work, so the company going under is completely the Union's fault.

Thank god! I may be British, but I love the hell out of twinkies, unfortunetetly though, it costs about £15 for a box of twinkies because they have to import them Also I saw those twinkie look alikes from Devilboys post, they look tasty too............
