Besides if those retards were so fucking upset about the previous reductions then those retards should have found better employment, but I guess retards are just to fucking stupid to figure that incredibly easy concept out.

Easy in concept, more difficult in execution. If it was really that easy to get "better employment" in the current economy, then a lot of places would have a hard time getting ANYBODY to work there.

That said, at the point at which cutbacks and reductions make it clear that the company is going under, it DOES seem like looking for other work (as difficult as it may be to find) while still employed (even if underpaid) is preferable to forcing the company to go under prematurely and being out of a job NOW. To say that the unions 100% caused Hostess to close shop is not realistic, since they were clearly struggling already and had been for a while, with no improvement in sight. The union WAS responsible for the current timing, though.

Unions aren't perfect, but in Hostess' case, they got screwed. The company forced them to take concession after concession; I seriously doubt upper management was getting docked like that. You cannot lay all of the blame on the right-wing's favorite bogeyman when you look at Hostess' history over the past decade; it's simply not realistic or factual.

My work is right down the street from a Hostess/Wonder shop, and I'd never seen the place so busy in my life as I have the last 3 days. My store, being right down the street, was next in line to be mobbed for Twinkies and the like.

No more Hostess, no more Wonder, no more Drake's. When people watch Talladega Nights, they won't know who Ricky Bobby's sponsor is. When people watch Zombieland, they won't know what the hell Tallahassee is looking for. It's the end of an American institution.
