  • Amzing Spider-man 2 Suit revealed!

Lokked up some images on google, and then I saw they've revealed it, so here it is.......
Got a few picks on google images.

Now to me, this just looks like Raimi's suit but with different eyes and webshooters. Even the webbing is bloody silver again. Personaly, I was happy with the origional ASM suit. Apart from thr silly gold eyes, it was perfect. I do like the idea of bigger eyes, I liked the bigger look from Todd McFarlandes run, but I don't like the fact of how white in insides are. It looks too cartoony, I prefered the duller whiteish couler from the origional trillogy. I was thinking that the Raimi suit was starting to look dated, especialy in Spider-man 3 (it was ok/quite good in the first two though), but now they've just brought it back. I liked ASMs suit so much, it's too much of a drastic change from that suit to this one. So fine you may argue that ASMs suit was a drastic change from spider-man 3, but it was a reboot and that's the idea of them. They could of atleast kept the colours brighter like they did in ASM and retain the black webbing but oh no, go full on raimi style. I'm getting the impression that MArvel's regretting rebooting Spider-man and wished that they stuck with Raimi now, the suit's almost identical. Even the texture's the same for gods sake, the texture was just right in ASM, but now. Just the fucking same.

Here's a comparison of the ASM suit and the ASM2 suit.

Very different right? Now look at Raimi's suit and ASM2.

What's that you say, very simular? Damn right it is!

So what do you guys think of the costume change? Is it for the better or worse?

your like a week late on this, its been in the marvel news thread already and people like seem to like it for the most part because its a better interpretation of the comic costume.

They could of atleast kept the colours brighter like they did in ASM
Where the hell were the costume colors brighter in asm? the whole movie was darker.

The webbing is more like a gunmetal, not black but not silver but it reflects light. The spider on the front and back are different than the raimi costume, as well as the eyes.

Oh, right. WHen I checked the news thread, it seemed to be all about the new X-Men film. Well personaly I prefer the new suit over the Raimi suit, but I think the ASM suit just looked cooler. What I don't like is that alot of fans only seem to like stuff if it's faithfull to the comic, where as I love adapting things and I like to see things modernised. However, you can go too far, just look at Caps suit in the Avengers. Awfull. To me, the ASM suit was a step in the right direction, it differenced itself from the Raimi trillogy by being different but now this new one is just so simular.

Ok, the colours may have been darker in ASM, but I think they were brighter. The new one is just lighter, but also seems a bit duller. ASM was darker but the blue was bluer and same goes for the red. I prefered the colour pallet in ASM, the texture and the moderness and boldness of it. However one thing I hated about it was the yellow/gold in the eyes. That was unessicery, but other than that, spotless.

I did notice it was darker, but not to much darker. However I much prefer the inset black webbing from ASM to the outset silverish webbing of Raimi's trillogy and ASM2. I expected some change in the costume fro ASM, but I thought it wouldn't be too much. I thoguht they'd make they eyes more whitish, tidy all the fancy parts on the costume up, and for some reason I had the felling that the blue would be replaced with black or grey which would be more like the look Supirior Spider-man's currently sporting. That would have looked awesome.

ASM's my fave Spidey movie. I prefer the characters in the origional three, but none the less I loved ASM. Spider-man 3 had Peter in a black suit without a tie dancing to a jazz song in public that no one but him can imagine and looking like a douche, had him dance like a spastic in a jazz club (how no one figured out he's Spider-man, fuck knows. Even the top of his costume was showing when his button popped off, how could no one there see that? Did they think it was a special vest or something? Everyone was stupid in that). It also had Sandman as the main villain, a minor villain compared to others unused, fithteen minites or less of Venom, Black suit Spider-man being all hard core an listning to jazz like people from the 30s did (woo, better beware of him, that guy listens to jazz and wars black suits!), and five second of New Goblin, the only good and worthwile villain in the enteire film, but he gets fucking amnesia for most of the film then ends up looking like two face at the end. Why did he not go to the doctor about that bomb in the face? Then again what the fuck would he say to his doctor? None the less apart from those many faults, I did like that film. Spider-man 2 nearly brought me to tears with nostalgia for some bizzare reason the last time I saw it, probably becuase that was one of the main films of my childhood. None the less good film untill Spider-man lost his powers for an unexplained reason and for no reason then magicaly got them back when he had to save his girlfreind. Spider-man 1 was pretey cool too, but the origin story was boring and it took a while to get going. Still liked it though. ASM just had annother drawn out origin story but slighly less of a bore and a villain I don't think really could have pulled off a film as the soul villain.

I have good fellings about ASM2 though despite the bad new costume. I heards they're going the Batman Returns route and using Rhino as well as Elektro making two villains for the first time in a spidey film.

Spider-man 3 had two villains. Sandman and, while not in it for long, Venom. The symbiote in and of itself is a villain. Oh and if you think the Lizard can't be a villain all on his own I highly suggest you find a read the SHED storyline. It's probably right up your alley what with it being all dark and grim and gritty and all

I count New Goblin as more of a villain than Venom in that. Or just count neither of them and say the sole villain was Sandman. Way before I knew what was going to happen in SM3, I had a feeling it would just be Harry Osborn as the Green Goblin woth no one else. For some reason, I had it in my mind it'd be a15 certificate. I had a weird obsession with film certificates back when I was young. Messed up kid I was. But if I was in 2006 or whenever it mas filmed and I replaced Sam Raimi as director and stuff, I'd have used Harry Osborn as either Green Goblin or Hob Goblin (although I mus say I'm glad they used New Goblin, he was awesome. Just wish he was in it more) as the main villain and I would have used the symbiote. Would have made it more to the ultimate universe style origin wise, and for alot of the film would be black suit spidey fighting Harry as Hob or Green Goblin. Would have Venom for the last half and at the end like they did in SM3, I'd have had Harry join forces with Spidey and defeat Venom. Would also have done the black suit more simular to the comics.

I didn't think Lizzard really pulled off the villain well in ASM. Although Ive not read much spidey comics (I'm more of a DC guy), I did treasure the 90s animated series and in the episodes I saw him in, Lizzard always seemed to be a secondary villain.

Well if it's dark and girtty, I probably would love it!

So you want to see the same villain in a movie over and over again? Superman films have that covered.

Spidey 3 should have been two movies. Movie one have Sandman as the villain with Spidey acquiring the black suit during the course of it. The movie should end after the defeat of Sandman and Spidey coming to the conclussion that the suit is bad, maybe becasue he almost kills Sandman. You the have Spidey swing to the church bell tower where he figures out that sound hurts the symboiote. He uses the bells to remove the symbiote and when the symbiote falls down on to and attaches to Eddie praying for Peter to die it should just cut to black and end right there. The next film should start at that exact same scene and continue on with Venom as the villain and Spiderman having to fight and defeat it.

Actualy, that's a great idea! You put me to shame. But maybe go with Batman Returns route with PT1 and have Harry Osborn as a secondary villain.

                    Byt here's how I'd do a Pider-man reboot franchise:

                    Spectacular Spider-man
Deals with after affects of origin, but does not show it, deals with his first month as a superhero. Villain's Mysterio (HAPPY NOW JHONNYV???????)
                    SSM2
Goes through Black suit saga, has Kraven as the villain for the first part then Venom for the second.
                    SSM3
Has Shocker as villain. Is the man who breaks the spider, basicly he'd be like Bane in TDKR. H'ed even wear that same kind of coat. Would be the villain with the most impact on Spider-man throughout the series.
                    SSM4
Green Goblin as villain, the Goblin's created witht he same technology Venom was, he kills MJ.

SHOCKER?!?!?! Shocker break Spider-man?? You say the Lizard isn't a threat and you come out with the Shocker? Now I know you are just playing a troll role. Venom wasn't created by technology, at least not in the 616 universe, it came from space. So you want a space symbiotic parasite to be the creator of the Goblins?? Yeah that'll work

The only thing the Shocker is breaking is the wall around the mental image of a woman dressed as Spider-Man, receiving the shocker. I don't mind that wall coming down.

I'd retool the character alot. Really he'd just be used ofr his look and powers like Blackout in GR:SOV. I'd make him more like Bane in TDKR, I just liked Shocker in the 90s animated series. Is a personal thing. I never really liked Lizzard that much. As for venom, i'm not going with the 616 route, it wouldn't work well in films, and they way they did it in spider-man 3 just sucked donkey balls. The technology thing is inspired by the ultimate universe way, it would fit into a film better.
