I mean, I can understand being SURPRISED that all the planets would fit between the Earth and Moon. I'm a bit surprised myself. But to "not buy it" when simple addition, demonstrated right there on the page, shows it to be true? That's a bit perplexing.

I know it is a popular pastime to assume that IonFan is a moron who can't even use a calculator to add a string of numbers, but I don't buy THAT. I assume he simply has made a conscious decision NOT to verify it for himself. I just don't really understand why. But I guess I don't have to.

Eh, I don't think it does any harm to take people at face value most of the time. If I find out they're pranking me, I might be disappointed in them, but I'd see that as reflecting poorly on them, not me.

I'd far rather get "fooled" into treating somebody like a real person than treat somebody like a joke without knowing for a fact that they are.

Good question. A search turns up stories about the serial killer on more mainstream sites like CNN, so he's a real guy who really killed people, and really operated in that area. But the story on CNN made no mention of this "haunted house" thing, and I have a hard time believing they wouldn't mention it if that was really how he got caught.
