Here the beast is! Mind you, slightly different from what I remember. I suppose the lighting in the film was different.

Yeah, suppose the lighting was different.

If you want it true "matte black" you'd have to get it detailed.
    Now that's nice!

Yeah, I saw a matte black one on the 2004 Punisher film.

And personally, I think there's a reason for that (i.e., classic muscle looks better with a sheen) but to each their own.

PS. My dad speaks occasionally of guys doing the primer thing in the 70s.

most cars of that era wouldnt have matte as a stock color option since the whole matte/flat/murdered out look only became super popular in the last 5 years. the only cars you used to see matte back then were the garage built hot rods and tht was probably primer.

Well, black is good for the Chevys. I don't think it's as necessary for the old Pontiacs.

The colors I'm tied to are:
Grey for any S class Jag
    Black for Camaros (67-70)
Red for Mustangs and T-birds (some look good in black or white)
Blue for most Shelbys and Cobras

LOL. I read the caption and just glanced over the pic. The "SS" would've been a nice clue that it wasn't even a Pontiac. He got the year right, anyway.

    Here's "The Judge":

    And here's a '67 Camaro (drop-top), which I like even more than the '69

If I could have *any* ride in the world, it would be this:

I'm not much of a car guy, but I love tractors. This is the John Deere 7520, their first 4 wheel drive tractor not designed by outside companies. I have an Ertl model of it- and it just rocks my world.
