In the first show, all they had to do was knock them off their metal platforms. Even in the late 80s Ace kills one with a baseball bat. But in the new show, their shields make them nearly invincible, so theoretically it wouldn't matter how many Cybermen attacked. If they didn't devise a weapon that could get through the Daleks' shields or somehow override master controls, they'd lose.
