You can see there how tall Lugosi actually was. For some reason there seems to be a general perception that Karloff was the tall monster actor (probably because of the added height of the Frankenstein shoes).

I was just thinking of that looking at the picture! Holy crap! I always pictured Lugosi being kind of short, especially compared to Karloff.
