Eh, I routinely kill wasps that get in my way. I just stay away from the nests unless I'm prepared for a real battle (yes, I have, properly garbed, stood there and sprayed scary chemicals right into a wasp nest. I'd rather not have to do it again. They don't all die instantly, no matter what it says on the package.)

Totally not being a wise ass, but are you sure you are spraying enough of it on? Reason I ask is because we usually kill one huge nest a year, and I make it a point to watch every one of those little bastards die, even if I have to use a full bottle.
