Help me like Arrow/The Flash

Alright guys I just watched The Flash pilot. It wasn't perfect but it had some stuff I liked. I loved it compared to the Arrow pilot which I thought was awful. I've tried watching Arrow S1E1 3 times and i just cant get past it, it feels like a shite soap opera with overly bad acting and overall cheap in general (The Flash had the same problems for me personally). But I have heard and seen online that Arrow picks up but I dont know when and where specifically. Can you encourage me to keep going with ether show or has big TV such as Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones ruined normal TV on me?

I didn't bother with most of Arrow Season 1. Oliver just isn't an interesting lead character, and his family drama is like watching an hourglass. However, many DC characters started showing up in season 2, and that's where the show became worthwhile.

Shit. Thats really what i dont want to hear. I have so much hate for it but when I hear people talk about it personally it makes me want to watch and love it.

The pilot of Arrow was god awful, I hated it and had no interest in continuing to watch until after Season 1 was over and my friend made me watch Episode 9 of Season 1 and thats when I got hooked. I'd suggest starting with the first episode of Season 2, that's when it started to get awesome.

I'm surprised at the amount of DCU rogues that showed up in Arrow. A new spin on the man who will be called Solomon Grundy, the Doll Maker, Bronze Tiger, etc...

Kinda wonder why Killer Frost is in the Flash supporting cast though since Capt. Cold was more or less 'his' ice powered rogue. If there's as much character growth and the Flash does stuff like alter his suit over time and be more of a badass CSI kinda Barry instead of noobie in the lab Barry it'll be good.

Arrow gets better. The first few eps are just average but it gets a hell of a lot better. I always loved it though.

I'm in the same sort if situation. Even though the pilot sucked, I gave it a few episodes, but I just couldn't get into it. I am, however, going to give it another go, especially with The Flash coming up.
