Anyone planning on seeing The Clone Wars this coming week?

I'll be checking it out this coming Sunday and can't wait. I'm a huge Star Wars geek, so I wouldn't miss this for the world.

I really loved the Clone Wars show that Genndy Tartovsky (please forgive the spelling there, I know I misspelt his last name). It was an incredible show. I wish they hired him to do more, but I will go and see this. I am a Star Wars geek so I pretty much see anything Lucas puts out. It's cause of me he has so much money with my buying all the reissues of the films. LOL

I think I will wait for it to come out to video. It is a little too obvious to me that this is an attempt to sell some more action figures. I just wish they did a better job at it.

Well, there has been talk of 2 series. The Clone Wars animated one, which started out years back on Cartoon Network as 3 minute episodes and then 12 minute ones, and now this new animated one, and then there has been talk of a Live Action Star Wars TV show which takes place between Episodes 3 and 4.

The Live Action one is still in the early stages, the last I read was they are still writing the scripts for them.

I nt 2 hours waiting outside of TRU, and the mosh pit that followed to get the figures during Midnight Madness. So I'm going to have to give a big yes on this one.

THe Animated series was phenominal and I expect nothing less from this "movie".Even though it's probably the first 4 episodes of the new show, this may be the last Star Wars film to see theatres so yeah I'll probably go opening night or at least the following day.

My geekness knows no bounds.

No desire what-so-ever. There are so many things wrong with the basic idea of this movie it's hard to know where to start. First - we've seen the Clone Wars. We saw the beginning, we saw the end, we know who lives and who dies so there's no tension and we know how long it was - about 2-3 years. Anakin did not have time to get a padawan and it was never mentioned in ROTS (cause you know she dies somewhere along the way) - so why do it?

What Lucas should have done was a CG Eps 7-8-9 with the original cast. You'd have people lining up around the block right now to see that. And I would be one of them.
