I still think Roger Cross would be the perfect John Stewart....On a side note, I'm hoping to see a line in Blackest Night where the Black Lanterns try to take over Stewart and he comes back with something about how he's already black...going to be epic. I think Johns can pull it off.

Hmm... Curtis Manning from 24? He'd be a good John if he wasn't so tall. John is supposed to be 5'9"-5'10". Cross is around 6'3".

That's not tradition. You're adhering to a "fact" posted out of the comic from an encyclopedia that doesn't feature current changes, and should be considered void since exact height in every representation of a character is impossible.

Honestly, I don't give a damn who plays him. Just saying certain people might get bent out of shape by not adhering closely to the physical attributes of the character. It's not across the board as Hugh Jackman played a 6 ft. Wolverine who in the books is supposed to be 5 foot nothing. As long as the portrayal is accurate, it's all gravy. Still, even though MCD was a good Kingpin, traditionalists and fanboys were upset because he wasn't white. Same with Samuel Jackson playing Nick Fury.
