Death Mask was a nice take on Batman, though, in a more fantastic setting, with the Oni. I read and watch too much to list, but lately, I watched raws of the recently aired Lupin the 3rd vs Detective Conan TV Special (which won't likely be dubbed for a decade, due to Funimation's dub not even at the right episodes to air the first one, from 2000).

I read a few things frequently though, like Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (a nice Japanese parody/comedy manga with action thrown in humerously), and a few others. Trying to find the first English volumes of Saint Seiya, but they're out of print, so I'm hoping a reprint is in our future.

And, I do read Naruto (waits for the heckling to start), in both current jump issues I buy, and more closely caught up (mainly due to the fact that viz rapes the series with edits, and doesn't offer an uncut version, ironically, they do offer uncut anime episodes). Sounds not so respectful to comic form over animation, but whatever. : /

In regards to Manga, I keep tabs on Naruto and Bleach. In regards to anime, I'm watching Darker Than Black and again re-watching my favorite anime of all time, Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water:

I got started slightly before high school, but that was back in the early days when anything anime could only be found in the special interest section of Suncoast amidst the portn. Blockbuster, and the random stuff found on Scifi channel. Ever since I have tried to complete a collection of dedicated 80's anime. But there's a lot of early 90's stuff in between.

I stil read Naruto, too. It's so much better now then when he was a kid (I think if I hear "Believe it!" one more time, I'm going to scream). How far are you?

Bleach(when I can.....sometimes it just doesn't interest me)
Pokemon(lol, only the first couple of seasons. )
Cowboy Bebop(still have to finish that)
Inuyasha(I can't believe it ended...with no ending)

Seen all of those at some point or another, and I'm at the chapter Japan is on...<_< I'll pay for every volume for legal obligation, but I think that warrants me reading uncut, properly translated manga.

I'm so jealous that Case Closed is the longest running anime over there. It deserves to be the same here! I've seen every episode that has been been dubbed so far.

Several months ago, I discovered the greatest website for manga readers. www.onemanga.com Free weekly scans of translated and up-to-date chapters. They literally come out the day after they do in Japan. Not just Naruto, but a ton of others. Ok, enough of the commercial.

My absolute favorite series is Death Note (Both anime and the manga. They're both great.) I also liked Dragonball Z (this is how I got into anima but eventually got tired of it), Bleach (but seemed to follow same pattern as DBZ), and Full Metal Alchemist. Shin Chan was a bit of a guilty pleasure. I liked FLCL, but at times I was hopping I would figure it out.

Has anyone ever read Battle Royal? That series is frickin BRUTAL. They are not shy about gore, sex, violence, or nudity. I'm shocked that I even found it in public liabrary
