  • Poll section of the forum?

I was on the megadeth boards and realized they have a section called surveys, just for polls.

*this is just an Idea I came up with for this site *

so my question in light of recent comments about our haven here, about a abundance of fan polls

Should we have a place for just polls in the forum to kinda organize better?

*There will be no poll for this thread*

Interesting. That could help organize better.

Personally I say fuck 'em if they don't like your polls.

If your polls keep that trash away from this board I say keep 'em coming.

But I will say this much, a section for polls is not a bad concept, anyone who wants to take them doesn't have to look very far. But I am also of a mind that it could be redundant, as I don't really see a problem with having the polls in the individual threads. If you don't want to take them then just ignore them, is really my stande on them.

I like it as it is now. A Guy related poll in the Guy section, a John Stewart poll in the Stewart section, etc. etc.

The version of Megadeth that's around now is just Mustaine and three hired guns right? Ellefson's gone still?

They were my favorite band when I was in high school, but stopped listening to them around the time I got into prog metal and Dream Theater. I do get a nostalgic feeling for Megadeth every once in a while. And a grin on my face when I play them on guitar Hero!

I was way into Megadeth when all my friends in highschool where wet over Metallica - I enjoy the lyrical content of a song the most and Megadeth was one of the most socially conscience bands around at the time Countdown to Extinction and Youthinasia where the best albums - I stopped listening after Youthinasia but recently got that nostalgic feeling and bought their new album ..... uhmmm yeah not the same Dave.... I did pick up a DVD of five videos for 4 bucks (old videos like Hangar 18) that still rocks

I got into Megadeth with Peace Sells. I was big into all the thrash bands of the day, Metallica, Anthrax, Testament, Slayer and so on, but Megadeth was by far my favorite. I was pretty big into them until around Youthinasia too. By then I was listening to Queensryche, Rush, Fates Warning, and Dream Theater.

Saw Megadeth three times back then and they were pretty good. Best album they ever did was Countdown To Destruction. That was pretty much their peak of albums and live shows. Last time I saw them it was like Mustaine and Ellefson were going through the motions, and would rather be shovelling shit than playing onstage.

While I poke fun at dudes like Super300 for all the polls, I think it's better to have the poll in its related thread. Helps mix things up.

                  My 2 cents

LOL, by bad! 'Countdown to Extinction' was the album title. I got it mixed up with 'Symphony Of Destruction' the song title!

BTW, I don't have a problem with all the polls. They should stay with the related threads though. I may not vote on every one, but if posters are interested in a thread's subject, that place is your best bet to get them to vote on the poll with the similar subject.

                      Stay the course gentlemen!

Agreed, the polls stay where they are.

its mustaine and both shawn and glen drover a James lomenzo the drummer would have been nick again but nick lost the ability to play megadeth songs, and Ellefson and dave haven't talked other than a happy new year last year for a long time.
