but yeah Shawshank is an amazing film and it was filmed here in Ohio at Mansfield prison

I haven't seen Pi yet, but I've added it to the list of films to check out.

I got a stack of DVDs my friends suggested recently, so it could be a couple weeks before I get a chance to see it.

Damn. Every person's list is reminding me of movies I missed when I put mine together. I like Cusack. Hell, I should throw Gross Pointe Blank on mine as well. Better Off Dead is a key to my wacky sense of humor.

Enter the Dragon is all kinds of Bruce Lee ass kickin' greatness!

Knight's Tale was unique for the genre and a lot of fun too.

I've seen Pi. It's brilliant. But I couldn't find a film I'd kick out of my Top 20 to make room for Pi. I really enjoyed Pi. But the films in my list... I just enjoyed them more.

anyone else here who love(d) christopher reeves as an actor and person, but who didn't like him as superman ???
Sorry dude I'm not with you on that one. To me Christopher Reeve is and always will be the definitive Superman.

Yeah I'm aware of La Jete, there is a bit of it on the behind the scenes documentary on the 12 monkies special edition DVD. If I found a region 0 or 1 copy for not an unholy fortune I certainly wouldn't mind owning it. 12 Monkies is usually what I hand people if they want to carry on that Bruce Willis isn't a "real" actor.

Oh and I can't believe I forgot Tombstone. Best Western ever and look up a picture of Wyatt Earp sometime, the resembelance between him and Kurt Russell is uncanny.

Oookay. I got ya. I thought you dug supes but thought CR was not the man. Well I can't agree with you on the first one. That one was fairly tight except for the ending, and the fact that Hackman was the worst Luthor ever. (Oh my god I just became that guy). However I will largely agree with that assessment for subsequent Superman films. I find 2 unwatchable (even the Donner cut isn't great art) 3 is amusing but I'm a huge Robert Vaughn fan, and 4? Well I come from the parallell universe where they looked at four realized it would be an insult to the fans and shredded it.

And I won't deny that I do wonder where Reeve's career would have gone had he not had the weight of being Superman to bear.
