- Cody Rhodes indicated earlier this week on Twitter that he would be taking some time off. This is not the case as Cody will appear on this week's WWE SmackDown to respond to Christian defeating him for the Intercontinental Title at Over the Limit. No word yet if Cody will take time off after the next pay-per-view.

News came out this weekend that over the past few months, WWE officials were discussing Cody for a potential feud against WWE Champion CM Punk.

This comes after we learned that officials almost put the WWE Title on Daniel Bryan at Over the Limit but that idea was nixed.

While one could assume that officials aren't too sure of CM Punk as WWE Champion, sources indicate that WWE still has major plans for him through the rest of the year.

Suspended for
Desecrating Brazilian Flag




A WWE event in Brazil came to a screeching halt Thursday evening ... when local law enforcement stopped a live match and threatened to arrest Chris Jericho for desecrating the Brazilian flag.

It all went down during a match between Jericho and C.M. Punk -- who was proudly waving the flag in the ring. Jericho took the flag away, crumpled it up and kicked the flag out of the ring ... and that's when police stepped in and put a stop to the event.


We're told Jericho was informed that desecrating the national flag is a crime in Brazil ... punishable by incarceration.

Cops gave Jericho an option -- apologize to the arena ... or go to jail. Chris chose the former ... grabbing the mic and telling the crowd he immediately regretted his actions. Cops allowed the event to continue.

Sources connected to the WWE tell TMZ ... the flag stunt was NOT planned or approved by WWE officials.

The WWE has just released an official statement saying, "Chris Jericho has been suspended indefinitely due to an irresponsible act of denigrating the Brazilian flag at a WWE event in Sao Paulo on May 24. The WWE has apologized to the citizens and the government of Brazil for this incident."


1:57 PM PDT -- The WWE has just amended its suspension of Jericho. Jericho is now suspended for 30 days.

6:34 AM PDT -- Jericho has tweeted about the incident ... saying, " Just for the record I love Brazil and wish we could've spent more time here. Beautiful country!"

So Brock Lesnar is returning to UFC, he was there last night and Dana is hinting that he is coming back, I can hear devilboy cheering about this.

It seems like Dana is ok with him being in WWE at the same time, I'm not sure Vince will agree, I was never sure Brock would make it a whole year in WWE, I guess what Cena did gave him more thought about returning to UFC.

I wouldn't be surprised if Summer Slam is the last time we see Brock in WWE, which means of course TripleH is going to win.

But what happens with the planned Brock/The Rock match at WM? If not Brock who in the blue hell is Rock going to fight?

I bet Vince is going nuts right about now.

Overall it was bad to bring Brock back but perhaps Brock appearing at a ufc show is just part of the angle playing out. Doubtful, but possible.

As for the roster, THQ is touting the "biggest roster" ever in a WWE game. The THQ website says the game will feature 77 playable characters - 38 Superstars, 7 Divas and 32 Attitude Era Legends.
