    House is a Holmes homage.

It doesn't extend very deep beyond "tortured genius with a straight man best friend and a drug addiction"... but it's there.

I think it says a lot that a character loosely based on Sherlock Holmes appears to be the inspiration for the ACTUAL Sherlock Holmes at times.

I don't know if that kind of thing can ever be avoided... but I thought it was interesting none the less.
Yeah, RDJ's Holmes definitely reminded me of House but I never put the dots together for House and the book Holmes(because I've never read them).

I'd see the sequel too, if the cast, director, etc. were back as well.

I also loved Hans Zimmer's score.

It was far from brilliant but even further from terrible. It was fun and entertaining and if they make a sequel I would happily watch it.

Jude Law was great... I would have gone a different route than Rachel McAdams but she was fine.

    Worth seeing.

He was a gentleman detective, not an action star. That being said this movie is awesome.
