It all began, or so I thought, watching 'The Big Bang Theory'. During most of the episodes the character Sheldon is wearing DC comic t-shirts. (one highlight being a fantastic batman/riddler one with a question mark made up of green bats on a black backgroun - kill to find that in the UK).
Well I always thought of myself as a marvel boy, used to read Thor, Hulk, Silver Surfer mainly, or so I thought. As I looked back through my collection of graphic novels, more than half are Batman and Superman! Also really enjoyed Sandman books too.
Now how does this lead me to Hal Jordan? Well, I took the time out looking for a green lantern shirt here in the uk at a decent price, and wandered into Forbidden Planet. They didn't have any but asked me if it was because of Blackest Night. Well, an addiction was born through a (ring)quest for knowledge. You see I had come across the Green Lantern a lot during my early readings but never found enough information, now I search everywhere learning more and more and loving everything I find. I'm sure there's a lantern out there just like me too
To cut my story short, I found my t-shirt (light green with white logo), got a (black) ring which I wear everywhere and Sinistro Corps War volume 1.
I'm currently scouring for other graphic novels to pick up. Always appreciate advice on which ones I should have. Although of course Blackest Night: Green Lantern is high on my list.
Oh and if anyone can sort out an avatar for me I would appreciate it greatly. Now back to my search for Green Lantern posters!
