When did this take place. It seems to be after Rebirth, but before anything in Corp takes place. Is that about right?

I don't believe it is technically cannon anymore. My educated guess would be sometime near the tail end of the Rann/Than War. Most likely what happened was:

Rebirth
Rann/Than with Kilowog + Kyle
Collateral Damage
Rann/Than - Kyle and Kilowog depart for a time period
Recharge
Rann/Than conclusion - Kyle and Wog return just prior to the IC Rann/Than special.

Why exactly wouldnt you consider it canon anymore?

I do consider it cannon, I just recall discussion in previous years about how it no longer is. I think mainly due to Guys portrayal during the whole thing, Vs. how he is by other writers.

Just reread this the other day and it was horrid. Guy was just written awful, I know he has been written as an over the top pervy ladies man before, like in Vol.3 but this wasnt done well and just left a bad taste in my mouth.

A guy mini deserved much more than this
