  • GL: EW Price Change?

Someone pointed out to me that Emerald Warriors #2 cost more than #1 did. It's not big deal to me, but I was wondering how many people won't buy the title if it's gonna be more than a regular comic.

Emerald Warriors #1 and #2 were both 3.99

Why in the hell are they changing that much for it? What's the rationale there?

They dont expect it to last as long?

No, I don't think they're expecting it to go under at all. They like to stick hard-core people with bigger bills. People like Guy fans.

It feels like a huge leap up because it's a dollar whereas in ages past, you can see the prices didn't jump by the same amount (except when viewed with a comparative eye, due to how much equaled how much in which year and all that).

I only have problems when I have to pick up $5.99 issues, but thankfully those are far and few between for me.

But you still can't be shocked at the price, when DC releases the solicititations three months in advanced and it shows you the price.

Thank you. I had never looked at the actual cover price on #1 and compared to number 2. My friend was wrong. I'd normally call any friend to terms with this fact, but she's nicely stacked with a great sense of humor, so if the wife ever kicks me to the curb, then I may need a backup plan. LOL.

Yeah and I do for Supes and such but for GL, I'm a collector and TPBs don't count. Plus, since it has to go through hardcover by the time you get to pb it's old news (e.g., me reading New Krypton now).

I was fine when they switched everything to glossy and the price went up accordingly, but is $3.99 really fair for 24 pages or whatever it is?

You're problem there is that you are looking for fair in a world that is focused on money. As far as people like this are concerned fair (fare) is what you pay to get on the bus.
I LOVE conspiracy theorists. They are like human versions of the cymbal clapping, dancing monkeys. No one takes them all that seriously and they get bored with them after about 10 minutes.
