Even if the two of them are equal in will (which I don't think they are), it's a stalemate until the battle becomes physical. At some point, someone is going to grow fatigued and since John was a Marine, I would guess that he would have greater stamina and outlast Kyle.

about Kyle, he is too young and John have more experience than him..

but in the end I believe Kyle have a secret weapon, because many people love him, but John Stewart was my fav. lantern always

well, I think we should give John a chance, he have become a mosaic in the past and that's interesting

I remember when he banish all the black lantern alone, John have a dark past , and that's very cool..

I think he have a same love problem and charisma like Hal Jordan, the first member of GL that I know is John Stewart from JLA cartoon network

Kyle lauched the attack out of fear with different version of kyles and john returned the favour by throw usr missiles back. Later the pull punches at each other and ganthet stop em with a satelite object... later he summon all his willpower created lil green men to remove thier rings and... he got burned. History man!

We haven't seen much of Hal lately but his last appearances shown him as cocky like issue #60 with him versus Barralax.

"HERE I AM! Or are you afraid? Are you afraid of me?" Hal to Parallax, page 9.

Hal is one bold and cocky SOB when it gets down to the nitty gritty. He'll go out on a hunch to win a battle.

John is too strategic and analytical. He likes to take time and usually that's his crutch when it comes to battles that he gets thrown into like in Sinestro Corps War, Rage of the Red Lanterns, and Blackest Night.

Guy is all out rage and power. I think he's the most powerful of the four. In terms of will and battle prowess.

Kyle is a character that was created to mirror/replace Hal Jordan and most of his qualities through the 90s were to prove his worth and show why he's the "Torchbearer". After Hal came back they had to humanize/weaken him so that Hal would be top dog again.

So DC made him ION, which in fact made him much more powerful than Hal but not a Green Lantern. Once he became a Green Lantern again - to differentiate the two, they made Kyle the grounded/opposite version of Hal. He's not a womanizer, artistic, works well with others, and is trusted by the Guardians of the Universe.

Kyle is a powerful character but I feel that John is going to win just based off the fact GJ wanted to show that he's a great character. I know Geoff isn't writing the Kyle vs John fight, this War of the Lanterns is his event just as much as Blackest Night and Flashpoint are.

John is going to win. If Kyle ends up the victor, I'll be shocked.

John's got that military background so for that reason is why he's so tactical. He plans his battles, which I think is the best way to go into any kind of war or battle. Why go into something and not plan for it? Kyle as much as I like his character strikes me as too much of a pretty boy always after the chicks and stuff like that. Not really a warrior like the other earth gl's, but I love his constructs though. As far as Guy being the most powerful, I'm not sure if I %100 agree with that. His gung ho style sometimes gets him in jams. He's already been beaten by Hal several times, but Guy is a cool ass character too.

Not really a warrior like the other earth gl's

Hal is test pilot, not a soldier that takes part in combat. Guy was a gym teacher. Neither of them are "warriors" and even when guy got some sassy new DNA he was more of a brawler.

John is the only one with any combat experience and I personally think making him a former marine was one of the worst things that happened to his character. Under the current regime John has no creativity whatsoever. He can stick to using green versions of conventional weapons all he likes. That doesn't do much good when your opponent throws mechs and winged monkeys at you. This fight would have been a lot closer and more fun to see back when John was mainly an architect. The simple reason the Geoff's version of John can't think outside the box would cripple him. Battle plans rarely survive contact with the enemy and this enemy is famous for doing things that you don't expect.

Only cause the current regime clearly has no idea what to do with him. Hell Johns doesn't even do much with Hal despite his giant aching man crush. Before the Kyle era John had a lot going for him but all that characterization has been swept under the rug.

John. No real reason. I'm biased and John is my favorite. Still love Kyle though.
