Guy will be a formidable opponent, especially with the power of the red lantern ring still going through his veins. Which will make it all the more awesome when Hal kicks his ass.
    Spiral power shining bright!
    Anti-spirals flee from sight!
    Piercing heavens near and far!
Green Lantern Corps, WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE?!

This is a pretty good answer for a textbook superhero brawl, and very likely to be what happens.

Hal has already beat guy on at least 3 occasions.

Guy's much better now and deserves the three strikes you finally win karma rule ... Plus, GG has the red energy coursing throughout him now ... Hal better duck and run ... LOL

Hal has already beat guy in a street fight, in fact that is why guy didnt have a GL ring for like ten years, hal has gotten better as well, notice no more grey temples and the lack of a fear inducing entity within him. Let guy battle john or hal battle john. My punctuation is horrible i know.

i feel like guy would be too much of a hot head in the situation. Hal would be able to use it against him

is this still currently true? and what does "having the red energy" ACTUALLY mean? His blood can make a red ring? He can tap into the power? Is there anything that actually proves that having this lingering "energy" could bring about anything beneficial?

I think that hal in olden days when he had parralax with him was much tougher i don't think he has it in him to take on guy now

I gotta go with Guy here.
Guy was still a brain damaged thug way back when. Now, for all intents and purposes, Guy's Brain Damage was healed when he went through the whole Vuldarian hybrid bit. He's basically back to normal which makes him a lot more difficult to beat (plus I don't think he has the glass-jaw problem he had in the old days.)

I have to agree that this is what I am expecting because their fight happens in EW first then probably in GL so it being Guy's book I expect him to win then Hal.

But overall I think Hal will because he's beat him a few times over the years and just think would get the mental advantage over him.
No Sir, I punched the viceroy in the stomach, then I headbutted him in the face. Sir.-Hal Jordan

                            Guy SHOULD win.
Let's not forget that not too long ago Guy had his Vuldarian mojo going on and was a SERIOUS arse kicker.
Although editorially mandated I thought Beau Smith did a great job selling it.
Now that he has his ring back, he has the Vuldarian warrior's knowledge, the most powerful weapon in the universe and isn't afraid to fight dirty!!

I think it also helps that Hal isn't anywhere near the top of his game right now either.
