Emerald Warriors Canceled!?

DC released the other day that there will be 3 GL titles come September with the reboot or whatever you want to call it. GL and GLC are both safe but Emerald Warriors is not listed. They say Guy Gardner is supposedly going to be with John in GLC but why can't we also have Emerald Warriors with someone from the Corp such as Kilowog? I really don't like how it won't be on the shelf anymore. What are your guys opinions?

I think it's because they feel they need a human in every GL comic, and they ran out of humans.

But I was never a HUGE Emerald Warrior fan, but they did have Guy and Kilowog, which I liked. (I liked the comic, I just liked the other GL titles better)

I like Tomasi's writing. I think he did a great job with GLC and IMO the book went down a few notches in quality when they handed it over to Bedard. GLC should BE the second best book in the GL franchise, and Emerald Wariors was blowing it out of the water. I think DC is switching the creative teams to put the better talent back on GLC.

Also, if they were going to have 4 titles, I'd rather each of the four humans get one to star in instead of Guy and John sharing a title. Red Lantern is a bit of a stretch to me for having the legs for longevity.

I bought the first few isuesand did not like it. No offense but I am not a fan of Tomasi at all. It is no loss to me. If it got a new creative team and shifted focus I would give it another spin. I like there being Multiple titles,but honestly over the last year or 2 I see alot of problems with all the GL books.

GL Just feels like a tie in between events.

GLC make alot of the mistakes that Kyles solo book did.

Emerald Warriors. Just feels like a lower quality version of the recent GLC book.

I am not a fan of this rebooting idea,but who knows maybe it will help these books?

If TPTB knew how September was going to go they should have labeled it a maxi series to begin with, just like Kyle's Ion maxi that was originally going to be ongoing.

I'm sad to see it go but I can't wait to see more from Pasarin and how they handle the John/Guy dynamic. To me they make a better team than Guy/Kyle and it doesn't seem as forced. Guy saying "Johnny-boy" just sounds right....

I'm upset that it's being cancelled, it had so much promise, but after this War of the Green Lanterns arc, I should have known.The writing was on the wall.

Agreed. There's no way they didn't know they were going to relaunch when EW was first conceived.

If DC had solicited Ion as a Maxi intially, then it wouldn't have sold very well. However, as a "ongoing" it sells more just because it's a ongoing.
