Most likely he'll be flying off into space beat the crud outta some alien menace to relieve his stress from the war, then we see a close up of the bar, fade to black

It doesn't at all. Its basically a stand alone story.

        Uber predictable, but still fun.

I really loved the story. A done in one issue, this is what i'd like to see more of, a break from the events and more fun issues like this was. I see the last 2 issues will also be stand alone stories, i cannot wait.

If you're a GUY fan it hits all the right notes. GUY is BADASS with or without the ring, check out the "money-shot" at the end. Bernard Chang's pencils weren't to bad either. I'm enjoying Peter Tomasi's take on GUY more and more.

Overall i'd give this a solid 4 out of 5.
:On worlds afar or scenes at home, wherever the cause should make me roam, always i vow to fight the good fight, to combat evil with all green lanterns might!:

Great Guy story! The letter column states this along with the last two issues will be stand alone stories. I am happy for that. Nice breather after all these major story arcs.

So it really sounds like they totally scrapped what seemed, from the solicits, like a two-part followup to the War, replacing it with two stand-alone issues totally unrelated to recent events. (The last issue already sounded like it was going to be something in that vein.)

Thank you! I was thinking June & July issues where to be war aftermath issues. Proves once again September was a last minute decision. DC is feeling like a choatic mess to me and it's only getting worst with each passing month.

i think it was kind of meh . It wasn't bad but then again I thought ew was supposed to be not just guy and i think i was disappointed because there was no mention of the war and it seemed like everyone was ok.

I liked it. Not the best ever, but shows Guy's strength and determination. I also just like having the breather of a one-off story.
