Yeah, but they're dropping like flies.

They used to have automatic protection against this kind of stuff.

That's the risk they take when they accept the responsibility of the ring. :P

I thought that this issue was a good first start. I agree with other post that too many Lanterns die though

Didn't care to see whats inside a GL. But I did like the issue. Probably the best comic of all the nuDC I have read

    Like John with Fatality.

Yeah, and was it Guy who brilliantly says Hal would get it?

I forgot to mention my favorite part, which was when Salaak asks why Guy and John aren't in Earth's sector to protect it and all.

Modern armed forces would be crippled if they had these kind of losses. Comic writers have no sense of scale.
That would be true if they had to fight another war but if it's just a matter of going back to the usual sector patrols then it would only mean that there's a bunch of sectors waiting to be filled. It wouldn't stop the functioning lanterns from patrolling their sectors. As long as the rings work, they should be okay.

Can't really call them rookie lanterns. They were sporting their badges, and apparently had captured several criminals. We'd have to assume they were skilled, but not too up-to-date on fighting invisible opponents...shoulda took Stel's infared applications 101

I liked this ish over all. It actually forms a nice counterpart to GL#1. There, Hal who has a secret identity finds his life a mess without being a GL. Here, Guy envies Hal's anonymity and the two public GLs face their own problems.

I'm a horror fan and even I thought this was a bit OTT for the book. You could see the severed bone of the lady's finger!
